Playing marbles on the carpet (study), Gregg Smith
Preparatory study. A series of work exploring nature and leisure in urban space in my local surrounds. The painting is done from a photograph which I took a few years ago while visiting family in London. My daughter was playing with marbles on a carpet in a quiet apartment on Brunswick Square. She was fascinated by the small glass spheres and staring down at them.
