“Remind me why exactly I’m in Kalos again? The fairies are almost as obnoxious as the birds back in Sinnoh, and don’t even get me started on all them trainers giving me the ‘look.’ Last thing I need to deal with is becoming a show dog for some pompous shithead.” Yemir mumbled in disdain at her smaller brother, the very thought of being dressed up for a contest sent shivers down her spine. At least this gave Yemir a good chance to practice on her size altering abilities. Though she could only shrink to a minimum of nine feet, the smallest she’s ever been. It was a considerable improvement over stomping through the woods with her head sticking out through the canopy. Eudai, floating near Yemir’s head, sighed at the obvious tension rife in Yemir’s face. She’s been uneasy for some time now, even though her physical injuries were healed, the mental and emotional wounds still burned deep. Eudai hoped that a little bit of travel and partaking in the local cuisine of this region would ease Yemir’s troubles a little. Unfortunately, despite what some locals had told them, there were nary a dragon type or Gyarados to be found, putting both in a less than pleasant mood. “Come now, Yemir, surely there must be something worth your interest around here? I don’t want you sulking around the house all the time, it’s not healthy.” The Mismagius replied in a concerned, only to earn an annoyed huff in return. “Yeah, I know, don’t mean I have to like it, though. Though I’m saying this right now, I’m only gonna ask the locals one more time since I hate being led on a wild goose chase.” Yemir rumbled lowly, staring off into the distance, she noticed a pair of Scrafties, one unusually tall for it’s size while the other seemed ripe in her age. “Hmm, maybe these two can help. Yo! Care to help us out here for a bit!” The giant called out to the two Scrafties, walking towards them with little forethought of her action while Eudai merely hovered alongside Yemir, silent, observing the two strangers.
The two walked by peacefully through the woods, paying no particular mind to their surroundings. It’s been forever since Zack managed to have a time alone with his mother, with so many issues and secrets taking over his life, the usual walks through the forest became painfully uncommon.
“Seems like it’s going to be a lovely day! You sure picked a nice time for a walk, my dear.” Regina said with her usual joy, holding loosely onto one of his arms as her eyes looked in between the trees and bushes “I missed doing this, exploring and such, you seem to do so by yourself so much now a days, oh you don’t need your dear mother’s company anymore~” she leaned against his side with a playfully dramatic tone in her voices, immediately making Zack chuckle.
“Don’t be silly Ina, I could indeed do this alone but it’s much better when you can come along.” His arm reached around her back and rested itself onto her shoulders, holding her close while giving her a very light squeeze, the motion would always make her giggle “We’ve been just too busy, That’s all, reason why I really wanted us to have a break, just the two of us.” He looked down at her with a warm smile, quickly greeted by her own.
“That’s very mindful of you dear, I really appreciate it.” She leaned against his side once again, making his smile grow bigger and brighter, but before the two could make themselves comfortable, Yemir’s voice suddenly echoed in the background, calling their attention right away.
Both looked in the distance as the large Gallade approached to them, her size immediately struck Zack, as he placed Regina behind him with a swift move. “What the hell is that..?!” He whispered under his breath at first, trying his hardest to figure out what was coming to him and whether to run or attack. Meanwhile, Regina tried her best to call Yemir’s attention, eventually yelling out “W-well! You’re indeed not from here! Is there anything you need, Darling?!”
