Gregory Edgeworth Week 2021- Day 1: Pin-up
For today's prompt, I decided to go for a lighthearted and sweet interpretation of the title. Just pure, family fluff.
Gregory Edgeworth Week is ran by @digitalstowaway
Miles makes Gregory a drawing as a surprise. Based on the drawing I drew for today's prompt:
Gregory Edgeworth Week 2021- Day 1: Pin-up
Today's prompt was 'Pin-up', so I drew Gregory pinning up a drawing Miles drew for him!

Pinning up a beautiful drawing
Miles sat to his bedside desk, his favourite pens in hand.
"I want to draw something nice for father!" he thought to himself.
He decided to draw himself and his father holding hands, reminding himself of when he practically dragged Gregory to see the new Nickel Samurai premiere downtown.
He chuckled to himself, colouring in the drawing as he laughed.
The door slowly creaked open.
"Miles?" Gregory called, "Just popping in to see if you're ok as you've been quieter than usual this evening."
"Don't worry father." Miles reassured, "I've been busy working on something, that's all."
"Ah, I see." Gregory nodded before walking into the room, "Is it school related?"
"Nope, did my homework already!" Miles shook his head, "But please don't come over here yet as I'm not done with working on something!"
Gregory raised a confused brow before responding.
"Ok then. Do you want burgers for dinner?"
"Yes please!" Miles grinned.
After Gregory had walked back to the kitchen, Miles finished his drawing and wrote a nice message. Dinner was called shortly after Miles had finished his drawing completely.

Gregory and Miles sat to the table and ate their burgers. As they were eating, Gregory began to wonder about what Miles was working on earlier.
"Hey son, did you finish the thing you were working on?" he asked.
"About that..." Miles mumbled, "Please may I leave the table to go get it?"
Gregory smiled at his son.
"Of course. You have finished your food after all!"
"Thanks dad!" Miles smiled back, running off to go collect it.
About a minute later, Miles returned, holding his hands behind his back.
Gregory looked at Miles, curious about what Miles had worked on.
"Let's see what you've been working on then."
"Surprise!" Miles exclaimed, handing Gregory a piece of paper.
Gregory turned the paper over to find a sweet handdrawn piece of him and Miles holding hands. To the right of the drawing was a handwritten message.
Tears formed Gregory's eyes; he was not expecting that the thing Miles was working on would be a gift for him.
"Do you like it?" Miles uttered, twiddling his thumbs.
Gregory rubbed his eyes before speaking.
"Of course son, you have given me such a beautiful and thoughtful handmade gift. Thank you."
"You're welcome." Miles beamed.
Gregory looked at Miles and then to the blank wall in the kitchen.
"A fine piece of art such as this should be put on a wall."
"Yes." Gregory smiled softly, "Please hold this while I get a hammer and a pin."
Miles nodded and held the drawing.
Gregory went to the garage and grabbed a hammer and a pin. A pin would be safer than a large nail, as the pin wouldn't put a huge hole in both the wall and Miles' lovely drawing.
He soon returned to the kitchen with the hammer and pin.
"Can I have the drawing please Miles?"
"Yes!" Miles said, handing Gregory the drawing.
Gregory placed the drawing on an area that he knew was nowhere near pipes. He then put the pin in a blank area above the drawing and carefully tapped it into place.
He turned around and rustled Miles' hair.
"There we go son, all done!"
Miles looked up at the drawing.
"Thank you for putting it up dad."
Gregory pulled Miles into a hug.
"You're welcome Miles." Gregory smiled brightly, "I love you so much, my son."
