The girls of Grenadina – Katie Ford (Vocals), Steph Castor (Guitar), Stefanie Petrozz (Drums), Mia Morrow (Bass) – are currently writing for their next record for Fort Charter Records. Fort Charter founder, Nathaniel Lay, had this to say about the signing:
We are a small indie label with big expectations for our bands and future. Not wanting to get held down by genre labels, I have made it a point to listen to anything sent my way, whether it be metal, rock, punk, techno, or something else. Grenadina was actually a band I reviewed for Lexington Music Press back when they released their EP, Pretend For Me. I absolutely loved it and its originality, so when the girls contacted me about the label, I knew I wanted them without hesitation. While they like to go by the tag of 'girlcore', that's really a simplistic description for a band that is extremely diverse. They mold so many different styles together in their songs that you can't help but be lured in. I'm very excited to hear the next record they are currently working on for us.
