Chilean artist INTI (or “sun” in Quechua, a native South American language) travels the world painting exquisite large-scale murals inspired by his Latin culture and global connectivity. He recently completed a massive outdoor painting of a young woman surrounded by yellow roses overlooking the streets of Grenoble, France. Entitled A Pale Blue Dot, the subject of the mural wears long dark gloves that resemble deep outer space and holds a model of the Earth between her fingers.
France Trip 2012
Welcome to my blog!! :) Its Christmas and I am getting ready to leave for my trip to France that will last until August. We will be traveling all over the place including Madrid, Rome, Istanbul, and many other cool places. You migh be asking why I am going there and the answer to that is because of my mom. She has sabatical this year so when we were brainstorming where to go, one of our top places was France because I had already been taking French for a two years. Once we choose france we had to choose which city/ region of France we wanted to go to. It was between Casis (a small town on the Mediteranian Sea, always nice and warm) and Grenoble (an industrial city with lots of snow in a valley with 8,000 foot mountains surrounding it). Eventually we choose Grenoble because a.) Casis is very touristy and not the safest place to live (at least marseille is) and b.) Grenoble has some of the best skiing in the world, which I do, and is also very beautiful. Afterwards we chose a house in Saint Matin D'Uriage, a small town overlooking Grenoble on the mountains. The house is cute but is only the size of my kitchen and living room. I will be going to a private school called Don Bosco which will have only French kids in it (I'll try to survive). I am a little nervous, but I'll try to stick with it. I have a few questions that I guess will be answered by myself when I get there: 1.) What are the kids like? 2.)What do they wear? (while packing this was a big concern of mine because I dont want to be the odd American) 3.) What is their school like
