There was nothing more delightful to Belle than a day spent amid Rivendell’s vast collection of books. Volumes of all sorts and SIZES on every subject and in every language of Middle Earth filled the shelves, and it was paradise. Luckily, Elrond had delegated the perfect job to her, allowing her to spend as much time as she liked studying each volume and sharing her knowledge. As per usual, she was lost in her work - so much so that she failed to realize the other’s presence in the room until he stood over her.
