I think Saruman is very fond of Radagast. He says, ‘Don’t speak to me of Radagast, that foolish man,’ but I think he nonetheless holds him in affection. It is said sternly, as it was written, but these Wizards have known each other a very long time- thousands of years. Radagast spends his life with the creatures and in the woods. He does seem forgetful and discombobulated, but I think there is a certain degree of affection that Saruman feels for him as his fellow Wizard. It is like brotherly frustration, I think. He admires Radagast’s reverence for nature, but I suspect he wishes he would be a more dignified Wizard and perhaps eat fewer mushrooms.

––––––––– VERSE. TO KNOW THE STARS. ( STAR WARS )
arc 001. ––––––––– starlight in his wake. the istari were once a proud race in the galaxy. extremely powerful beings with an appearance that resembled that of an elder human, the istari were fondly known in the galaxy as “wizards”. most were force sensitive & they had lifespans that could stretch on for thousands of years. they also had a believe in reincarnation. while rarely joining any orders, the istari did practice some jedi arts such as force healing & few dabbled in lightsaber combat. most used elements in the force for fighting & defending themselves. after roaming the galaxy for many years the istari, wise & tired in the universe, made a decision to begin to die out. they were not killed, they walked humbly to death. for many years now most have come to believe the ancient race to be extinct. however, they are merely endangered. scattered across the universe with no home planet, there are a mere five istari remaining. olórin, or gandalf as most have come to call him, is one of these remaining few. unlike his fellow istari who have found, more or less, permeant settlements ( or have gone missing ) gandalf prefers wandering the universe. leaning upon his staff with a silver lightsaber at his side, he finds himself mostly overlooked. most believe him to be an old human vagabond, & he prefers it this way. some, however, that he might call friends, know the facts of the old wizard.
arc 002. ––––––––– of the force. the force founded in skin & bone. force manifestations, not far unlike the father, son, & daughter, are known as the istari. they live humbly as guardians, sworn not to abuse their power in attempting to rule over the free people of the galaxy. istari are made to be protectors of the light, having other enemies in the dark, but they are not set in stone. the darkness has influence over them & they must do their best to resist & not be swayed by evil’s hand. gandalf finds walking the path of light one he wishes to never stray from, however he is blinded to the darkside that has slowly begun to take hold of saruman.
❛ a deadly sword, a healing hand, a back that bent beneath its load ; a trumpet-voice, a burning brand, a weary pilgrim on the road. ––––––––– A LORD OF WISDOM throned he sat, swift in anger, quick to laugh ; an old man in a battered hat who leaned upon a thorny staff.
