Gesith are often termed the Veterans of the Chapter by outside observers, and are most often seen gathered into their own Druhts, as to concentrate their combat efficacy. This is but one of their many roles. They also serve their Aethelings as advisors, representatives or to lend other Druhts their experience as Druht leaders. Select Gesith, however, also serve as Gerefas (c.f "Wolf Guard Battle Leader", "Lieutenant"). These Gerefas can direct up to a demi-Fyrd deployment, freeing up their Aetheling for other duties.
