Y'all know my disdain for Grey's Anatomy - but I still watch certain seasons because I'm weird like that and I enjoy drolling over Jesse Williams. But I digress....
But of all the reasons I loathe the show, the horrific way they tied up Karev & Jo's storyline may just top the list.
It pisses me off to this day.
I get really annoyed when a lot of Grey's fans complain about Shonda ruining the show by getting rid of characters, but the truth is that most of the characters that died or left did so because the actors playing them wanted to (April and Arizona aside, that was a recent development and I've been seeing this argument without their characters for years). E.g Lexie, Mark, Callie, Stephanie and Cristina left because they wanted to. Burke and Izzie left because of issues with behaviour and they're conflicts. Derek left cause of both. Shonda didn't wake up one day and decide to kill off peoples faves. As for relationships, Calzona, Slexie, MerDer were all supposed to be end game but if one half of the couple leaves, what else is she supposed to do?
If actors want to leave to do work on other projects, Shonda has no choice but to work about it. So stop acting like it's not a rarity for her to fire characters. The only examples that come to mind are George (who was also unhappy but is still on good terms with Shonda), Teddy (who left for financial reasons but has still been brought back) and April and Arizona (who like I said, are recent actions and haven't left yet so have nothing to do with prior complaints.
Ben and Addison left for spinoffs so that doesn't count. And apart from that, the other missing characters were minor.
TL;DR: Don't blame Shonda when actors want to leave to dp other things. They aren't her prisoners and she can't make them stay against their will.

Once again I am reminded of how much April annoyed me, and Jackson deserved so, so much better.

OMG I think what they did with Karev and Jo may be the single biggest thing I hate about this show - and that's saying a lot. BRUH. I knew it was coming, and I still want to throw things at my TV.

OK - so I actually really like Amanda and Linc - a lot - so I'm certain they're going to ruin it terribly.
Likewise, I don't hate Jackson and Vic, and I'm sort of shocked by that, but they started it too quickly on the heels of Maggie, and that automatically takes away from it. If I know Grey's Jackson and Vic would probably be over in like 2 episodes anyway. lol
One other thing, DeLucca is a great character; I know his end is coming soon. WHY THE HELL do they do that?
Oh, and btw, Dr. Avery is still FINE AS FUCK and I'd die for him. That's all - proceed w/ your day.

OK I know this is probably a very unpopular opinion, but I really like Tom Koracick. At least so far, who knows what is to come.
But he is a complex character, and I love a complex character. Especially if they're sarcastic too! lol
