Lublin

Lublin is a Polish city located in the South East of the country. There are approximately 340,000 inhabitants. Its castle is one of the oldest royal residences in Poland, built in the 12th century. In the castle, you can admire a large collection of paintings, a lot of old furniture, weapons and sculptures. The castle is also famous thanks to the chapel. It is an orthodox one, very small, built in 1418. It is called the « Holy Trinity Chapel ». All the walls are covered by frescoes representing some Bible scenes. You can visit the chapel but your time is limited because the castle’s employees want to preserve it. Lublin’s city centre is quite typical, like the one in Warsaw, with the houses painted in many various colours with drawings of flowers or portraits for example.
