Everyone meet Grignard!

This name won because he really does look like a griggy and its a science name!

The grignard reaction is used in elongation reactions to form alcohols.

Griggy is the sweetest baby. Hes 4,the same age as mimi, and she tolerated his sniffs and introductions at the shelter and ate greens for the first time in a few days in front of us for it. I was elated.

Hes a lop lion mix so he gets some fun bangs too!

Wildlife Rehab Help!

Hello friends!

To those who are new to this blog, welcome, I'm Meri and I am a wildlife rehabber and scientist (immunologist to be specific). I work with eastern cottontails in the state of Michigan as one of only approximately 8 rescuers which means I take care of a LOT of buns.

I work with domestic rabbits and wild ones, and none of this is paid for. This is a privilege and an honor to be able to use my skill to work for something bigger than myself, but it means I rely on donations from finders and followers.

No one is obligated to donate, I will never be the person to push that down anyone's throat, but donations via my amazon link help me keep my supplies stocked and significantly increase my capacity, which means I can save even more bunnies. i saw we were yuckyposting. here are classic star baby yuckies. i miss him still, i hope he and spindle are binkying and hanging out wherever they might be :-)

also griggy is very cute! im a big fan of him

Him and pindle and cut from the same cloth and surely must be acting extra yucky together now

Grig definitely fits in to the muppet/mold genre of beasts i seem to collect these days

grig looks absolutely foul oh my god.....hes like a slipper left in the rain and mud to get gross......hes like a piece of fruit that got fuzzy moldy in the fridge......hes like a feather duster that got chewed soggy........so yuckful....

He eats greens and it dribbles out of his mouth also. Hes so cute and pretty gross I love him

Grig is relentless about humping mimi but shes tolerating it. Meaning he may turn out to be dominant as this is a dominance display.

I had to groom griggy since evidently he kept asking for kisses from his pen neighbors and they instead just peed on him. So hes a bit gross and yucky but with time should be cleaned up

I always forget how frustrating bunny bonding is until I have to do it like get along already.

Grigs is constantly chasing mimi, not to nip or hump her (though he does this a lot) and mimi decided grigs pisses her off bad

So she oinks. She literally has been oink-grunting as soon as he glances at her and giving furious tail wags.

Simultaneously they engage in parallel play. But mimi will oink about it 😅

I haven't had to slam a panel between them thus far which is positive so I quite literally just have to monitor them and let them sort it out but whew I miss snuggly buns I hope they get to that point soon
