lotor’s ears aren’t completely straight like in canon, or like what most people think of when it comes to altean ears. his ears are actually what alteans call bladed ears, because they have a point with a sharp curve to them that gets bent halfway through the ear line, as you can see above. they’re more common among galra than among alteans, although this shape among alteans is not unheard of. they’re also generally seen as more attractive among the galra than among alteans, who prefer a straight ear line.

his ears are also much larger than an average altean’s, extending almost to the back of his head. he gets those big ol’ ears from his galra side. he also has a little spiked earlobe at the bottom--another sign of his galra heritage. overall his ears are galra rather than altean and holy shit they’re so damn cute.

lotor’s ears can perk up, swivel and flatten like a cat’s--they’re often very expressive. they perk up when he’s spotted something preylike or otherwise interesting (or if he hears about an advantageous political agreement), they swivel (though only very slightly) to pick up sounds, and they flatten when he’s scared, angry or annoyed. as a kid and teen he had to learn how to control the movement of his ears to hide his true emotions. but it’s really hard to do because ear movements in galra are a reflex, so you might be able to catch him showing his emotions through his ears.

How does my muse feel about love? About falling in love? About being in love?

Honestly, this little shit usually doesn’t even think about ‘ love ‘ - it wouldn’t be very becoming of the proclaimed ‘cruelest’ member of the executives if he let those soft and fluffy emotions flutter up in his chest. In fact, he’s more the type to accidentally fall in love without knowing it. It would start as subtle signs of suddenly finding himself jealous and possessive over someone. He laughs at the idea of being in love. He likes the idea of being unobtainable, this is usually fed by his canon fan girl club within the grunt ranks. –So he thinks it’ll never happen. He’ll never fall in love!!! - - - He’ll mess around of course but who needs a heart to do that kind of thing?
