Look i just needed to drop by and say congratulations. Because you know what? FUCk those 49 achievements. Fuck how the game makes you do mutiple playthroughs and fuck how picky it is with the party member achievements. So you know what dude? Congratulations because this was a hard. Earned. win.
haha THANK YOU! Seriously it was such a fucking pain in the ass I'm not even going to pretend it wasn't. That first game is SO TEDIOUS. Same environments over and over and over fucking driving the Mako up mountains and falksdjfl SO MUCH FUCKERY.
But I do now have four distinct Shepards to play around with as I will, so that's kind of fun?

Ho boy, I have got a lot to go over since my last time being on Tumblr.
It has been months since I've been able to get online thanks to a broken laptop and a shitty phone that can run the Tumblr app without exploding. Couple things i wanted to address before i get back to business:
First off, My thoughts on E3 these past few days: 1) Nintendo left me unimpressed, 2) Dead Space 3 is going to have Co Op and Frankly that sucks a hard one. The isolation was part of what really made the games terrifying. I get the sense this is going to be the Resident Evil 5 of the series: a base breaker with half the fans crying betrayal and the other half digging the co op and more action orientated focus. 3) Crysis 3, Far Cry 3, and Splinter Cell Blacklist all look spectacular. 4) Dat Resident Evil 6 demo. 5) My excitement for Black Ops 2 has waned a little bit after seeing the gameplay demo. I had hoped with the futuristic setting and sort of terminator esque look to the game that it could provide the innovation the series desperately needs and while it certainly seems to at least mix things up a little it doesn't look like it's going to be much different from every single Call of Duty game since Call of Duty 4. 6) I am actually very excited for the new Devil May Cry. I'm interested to see where they plan to take the series and with Dante's new identity. 7) Microsoft's Smartglass thing looks to be pretty damn interesting. I'm curious to see how that's gonna play out. Also, we finally get a browser for the Xbox 360. So there's that.
So the games I'm looking forward to most?

Back to my own personal Tumblr stuff, I noticed in my Mass Effect 2 text play through thingy i had more than a few mistakes like saying the Illusive man was played by Charlie Sheen instead of Martin Sheen and saying that Joker died with you when the Collectors first attacked the Normandy. I just wanted to apologize for that. In any upcoming lets plays i may start but never finish, i plan to get all the details right. People remember details

My first time in Sen's Fortress
I step in through the gates and I'm like
And I step on a trap and fucking spears shoot out of the ground and i gotta dodge that shit like a fuckin boss. Then two snake people jump me and im down to half health after a single hit. So im mashin the dodge button like
But they got me.
So i respawn, run up in there and the snake guys rape me again
So i respawn again, go in there and finally manage to kill the snake guys by spamming backstab on one and using the aforementioned spears shooting out of the stairs out of the other. So i go down the hall and there are pendulums which i dodge like a bos until a mage i didnt see in the corner starts fuckin me in the ass with lightning bolts. So i try to back my ass up and end up getting hit with one of the pendulums, falling off the bridge and landing next to a Prowler Demon who promptly shove a lightning bolt down my throat.

My new Lets Play/Video Review series.
People who know me in real life know that I'm an avid fan of internet critics like Doug Walker (aka Nostalgia Critic) Noah Antwiler (aka The Spoony One) and Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw of Zero Punctuation and those of you who follow me here on tumblr may have seen the occasional text review (I did one for Shark Night 3D and Windigo) I've posted. So with as much of an avid gamer and intelligent movie goer I like to think I am, I feel inspired to (try being the key word here that isn't really there) to follow in their footsteps with my Video series.
"Late to the Party" will be my attempt as an amateur game and movie critic, with occaisional MST3K style lets play videos. At the end of every month i'll have a segment titled "Something Entirely Different" where I (you guessed it) review something entirely different. This could amount to various Top 10 lists, VS videos where ill compare two series to see which is better, or anime and manga reviews.
I'm in the process of putting together a list of Games and movies to review, and a separate list of games for the Lets Play segments.
I'm probably going to start my series with a review of Resident Evil: Afterlife, and the first lets play with be of either Dark Souls or Skyrim. With any luck you can expect the first video within the next couple of weeks.
