I had to buy a historical pattern for Will's stupid waistcoat since I couldn't find a pre-made one with shawl lapels and I'm seriously about to have a nervous breakdown I've never sewn ANYTHING before and this came with a booklet with step-by-step instructions for how to hand sew everything in the historical style with resources for where to find historically accurate materials and I am a COMPULSIVE rule follower so I'm either gonna painstakingly and badly make this waistcoat in the historical style OR let my roommates help me with the sewing machine and be slightly miserable the whole time because tHaT's AgAiNsT tHe RuLeS
