you don't spend as much time as you'd like to in the library these days. the mountainous shelves of volumes have a new guardian now ; you trust them implicitly, && yet you find yourself drawn back to the hallowed halls, not because you worry, but because you miss it.

one day, when life returns to some sort of normal, you will be able to vacate your new position, && live a life of leisure. the first thing you intend to do is spend a full twenty-four hours simply sitting && reading.

for now, though, you're only here to return a book you borrowed earlier in the week. it's by pure chance that you see him — the boy who was the golden guard, a golden guard ; the boy who rebelled, && lived to tell the tale.

he's wandering the stacks, looking like he doesn't have a clue in the world where to begin.

you may be the isles' new leader, the job of a librarian far below your pay grade, but you still know these floors like the back of your hand, so you pause, stopping just a moment to take in the smell of the old tomes, && lightly rest a hand on his shoulder. patch notes: realized a variable was set to the wrong value, now ability 'perfect accuracy' has been given a side effect to rebalance the current meta. accuracy has been lowered by 20%, with bad rolls leading to a 5 minute debuff 'crippling shame and guilt' where the player screen is plastered with horrific memories, some lies, and others simply shocking. movement speed is cut in half during this debuff.
