scout finally gets the armor they wanted so bad! everything still kinda sucks in hell though
direct sequel to this concept. thought about beleth giving scout their old armor, with adjustments of course. (which you can see in this post)
i imagine beleth doing it to keep them quiet... considering scout cant fight, i dont think beleth KNOWS how to talk abt anything else.. not even small talk...........
realizing scout has imitated the forms of nearly every type of angel minus virtues... inch resting...............
there were always two things Scout loved that V1 remembers fondly; the ocean, and space. A bit of a bittersweet reunion, even if V1 isn't quite sure who its reuniting with, it just knows somehow.
really proud of this one because i drew like a million different things that i usually hate drawing and it wasnt totally miserable
also Scout lets V1 whiplash them as a little treat
theres a lot of stuff that i havent mentioned about like all three of my ocs but if its not related to a doodle i dont tend to mention it unless someone were to ask or something (which id be happy to answer any questions! i love building story and lore). funnily enough despite scout being the oc to be the most "fuck it" out of the three with lore, they have a lot of stuff i havent mentioned. this ended up longer than expected so im gonna do a cut here
scouts butterfly motif is connected to how when they were a kid the first time they truly understood death was when they had accidentally stepped on one and had to process that they had actually hurt and killed a creature. their mother also really loved butterflies and would get them gifts with butterfly themes.
despite being raised catholic they didnt actually absorb any of the teachings or ideology or anything. i HAVE mentioned their fear about heaven and angels; entirely comes from vibes. they are fascinated with the whole "biblically accurate angels" and conceptually think theyre cool in media and as a concept, but not as a real thing, and eventually fall out of believing by the time theyre a teen.
eventually angel scout does chill out a bit when they are an angel, and can appreciate how cool the angels look. the vibes are still off though. doesnt help that zophiel is panicking figuring out how to keep scout around without raising suspicions.
scout technically has a connection to v2 as well, and honestly, it couldve been even stronger if it wasnt for them basically still being in mourning over v1 and processing being in what is basically a post apocalyptic world n all. they found comfort in v1 during the war, and now its like, wars over but the worlds gone to shit and v1 is gone. i like to imagine if v1 was just stored somewhere and turned off, scout probably still visited it. scout being a secretary is in part a part of the tragedy, they really dont have the ability to even dream of bringing it back.
so their relationship with v2 is honestly more protective than it is personal. they dont want the same thing to happen to v2. (and still fail but hey. they are just a secretary. they couldnt do much.)
angel scout probably for the most part isnt allowed to stray far from zophiel but theyve definitely pushed it a few times. theyre pissed about the armor thing. they used to be obsessed with knights. they think gabriel and the powers look cool as shit. zophiel has to drag them away.
im getting better at drawing v1 with every doodle... scout and v1. again. because im predictable
honest to god the way i give scout and zophiel everything and beleth is just getting bullied by hell makes me think of the "my son (blank) and his brother (blank)" "why does (blank) not get the son title?" "i dont like him"
anytime i see frilly pretty ferryman i realize i accidentally kinda made angel scout ferryman-like which is funny because i considered making them a ferryman before realizing the lore behind ferrymen wouldnt fit lol
