the cromwell family has been in town since it was founded; they’re descendants of the first witch to put a charm on grimwood

they’ve all lived their own lives and found their paths in life, but wendy chose to uphold the family legacy by embracing a pagan lifestyle and working with the founding families to make sure the land stays protected

wendy is the baby of the family, but has arguably taken on so much responsibility, she acts like she’s the eldest at times

this dynamic is pretty open to anything, but i really would love to discuss some ideas and whatnot beforehand

pretty standard family; grimwood natives, two parents that were attentive and supportive, but not completely overbearing

sawyer falls somewhere in the middle of the brood, and she’s always kind of blended into the background and preferred it that way

her relationship with her siblings is quite positive with the majority, but i wouldn’t say no to a little bit of tension with at least one of them, just for the jollies

leaving this as open as possible just so we can do some plotting things

a little punk band from outside of town, yale and her bandmates have been friends for as long as they could remember

started the band while still in school, playing only in garages and odd little underground venues until they started building a following

have toured on and off for years, have put out a few albums, and when yale settled down in grimwood, they didn’t hesitate to follow

were all living together up until yale got married, but she still spends too much time with them, as she considers them family

band is still unnamed because i wanna put our braincells together to see what we can cook up

Gansey is the middle child of the three Hayes kids

The children of two professors, the oldest and youngest were always much more academically gifted than Gansey

Because of this there was always some sort of feeling of superiority growing up (especially from the oldest sibling) and any achievements that Gansey had were often downplayed compared to the siblings due to them not being ‘as impressive’ or as was once said to him by their father ‘the achievements of an idiot’

Being more similar to each other, even though there is an age gap the oldest and youngest Hayes have always been closer than either was with Gansey

Like the rest of the family never believed Gansey when they said that he could hear voices

Reason for being in Grimwood would be UTP, but would need to be relatively new there

Would not have known that Gansey is here before moving (whether they know or not now is up for discussion)

They don’t necessarily have to have the same attitude towards things as when they were younger

Local to Grimwood

Nora’s mom and their dad started dating a few months after the Bhatti’s moved to town

Got married about 2 years after (Nora would have been 18 at the time)

Nora hadn’t been a fan of the relationship at first, it always having just been them and their mom beforehand. Us against the world type dynamic and having always seen their mom as this fierce independent woman so would have taken some time to warm up to the idea of that expanding out to the stepsiblings and stepdad

Marcus’ half sibling from his dad’s second marriage

Depending on age could have been born outside of Grimwood or born in town

Despite the age differences between them and their older half siblings the Knight kids are all close

FC would need to be at least half black

Raised by a single father (mom died not long after the sibling was born)

Dad remarried when they were kids. 

Stepmom was already close to the family beforehand (Marcus and sibling had even been involved with the proposal)

Moved to Grimwood as a kid (depending on age would have grown up more in Grimwood than outside of it)

Joel’s two older kids (the third and youngest is already in play - Tatum)

Can either be twins or two different ages 

For background reasons the oldest would need to be between 27 and 30

Depending on age at the time of the divorce could either have stayed and lived in Grimwood with Joel or moved back out of Grimwood to live with their mom. It was joint custody so either way both parents would have been involved in their lives.

FCs would need to be half black/half white
