Jemtons Return.
(OC: Date [08-08-2016] Day[Sunday])
Dear diary…
Some new recruits showed up today. Two forsaken and a blood knight. The shade entrusted me with the task of inspecting their skills in combat. So I gave them a training sword and took them down to the beach. After beating him in combat, I took him back. He can fight. He knows where to hit and how to take somebody down. He is a blood knight after all.
I returned to the others and the blood knight got his place. After a few moments with everybody I realized Jemton was amongst them. At first I was lost for words. But I knew that I needed to speak to him. Today. So I did. Once I was dismissed I lead him to the beach and apologized for my past actions. I told him everything that lead to why I did the stupid things I did. He deserved to know after all. I could tell it upset him. But I was not the person I used to be. And what had happened shouldn’t have. There was no easy way to tell him that he was a mistake. But it needed to be done. He left leaving me… discarded an envelope for me. Inside was a blue jewel neckless. He must have got it got for me and been hurt after what I told him. Doing what has to be done sometimes leaves me feeling awful. But I have to move past all of my mistakes. And I didn’t want to admit it but he was my greatest.
I headed back and there were goblins everywhere. No idea why. Wasn’t really interested. But somehow Jemton got himself into trouble. He was acting up. I imagine it was something to do with me. But he will get over me. I am sure anyone could. I just need to speak to Esyl’mar now.
There was a warning about people stealing souls. Something I imagine we will help resolve shortly given they seem like a threat to the base. After that another orc joined. He was a shaman that uses fire, and the fight was around explosives. Lucky for us, the shade wanted them moved. So I assisted in doing so. Now I can sleep next to a wall and not a bomb.
Nothing to much happened after we got back. I need to wash my body and armour as advised by Grizzlow. But I did get a chance to ask Taryane about her sword. It is a heirloom passed down to her once she reached the age to use it. It is well made and powerful. It will protect Taryane nicely. I wonder if I could wield it in one hand? It is about the same size as my blade and looks lighter. I imagine so. Oh well. Time to wash and rest.
Yours faithfully
