So I finished my first ever @ogchanyt artwork just in time for his GRLD II rebrand. I love his videos, but I love his music equally as much. He's so talented in everything he does and he's an amazing person to top it all off. I'm so proud of you, G. I can't thank you enough for always being so kind and down to earth and humble. You're a huge inspiration to me. I'll always support you in everything you do, and I look forward to the day that I get to meet you again. Love ya, Gerald. Keep showing the world how talented you truly are. 💕

so like i know this is probably old news at this point but i'm honestly so confused,what happened to gerald? i've literally been searching for a half and hour and you're the closest thing to an answer i've gotten, i'm s o l o s t pls help me. i noticed that very suddenly literally everything relating to him vanished and i just want to know what went down that nobody has even addressed it. sorry to bother :>

but honest to god, even after a lot of digging i STILL don’t know the full story. what i can gather from the (very few) tidbits i could find on the issue, basically gerald became very toxic and started acting shitty towards everyone. he apparently made angry comments towards brian and ethan (something about how they only became famous through mark??) and they apparently had some sort of falling out. his community became toxic as well and from what i could gather, there were fans of his who would literally go out of their way to send hate/death threats to whoever criticized gerald and/or left the fandom. from the way people were talking about it, things got really ugly for a time. plus he was using LGBTQ+ slang/connotations in negative light in a few of his songs so uhh,, Yikes™

however, i think the straw that broke the camel’s back was the fact that gerald had set up some sort of “donate money to get me to PAX” sorta thing and he actually ended up taking the money and spending it on something else. he essentially scammed his fans into thinking they were helping him with one thing, then stole the money to spend on equipment/“furthering his music career.” he just did a bunch of shitty things and his reputation among his friends and a lot of his former fans just continued to deteriorate. he was also known to rant a lot on his twitter and such and say hateful things about other people but then delete the tweets so people couldn’t keep receipts. he really just dug himself a hole and hopped right into it.

i found all of this information here. someone else took up gerald’s url when he deactivated, and according to the date tags, all of this went down about four months ago. unfortunately the story is very fragmented and i tried my best to piece together what i could from the asks/submissions, but without screenshots to show how the actual situation went down, i’m afraid this is the closest we’re gonna get to knowing what happened.

(First time he didn't see me since my computer is stupid but ya know) He was as nice as always and actually remembered me which shocked me haha.
