Irwin School – Engage – Enjoy – Succeed with Graphic Novels
The East Brunswick Education Foundation is pleased to announce that the following grant, submitted by Brittany Barton, Cheryl Frank, Carol Shilling and Vanessa Silvia, has been approved for funding:
Graphic novels will be provided for struggling readers in grades three through five. Graphic novels are fast paced and the word-to-picture correlation provides an easy way to expand children’s vocabulary. At the same time, graphic novels with rich, complex plots and narrative structures can also be satisfying to advanced readers.
