Im too shy to ask about this irl so I thought I'd ask someone on tumblr. There's this girl I'm in love with. She's dating someone and she really likes him and it kills me whenever I hang out with the two of them. Have you ever been in a situation like that and how do you get over it? And I went to the account and there’s not a whole lot goin on so either they’re 1. New 2. Made the account to ask questions like this to avoid a trail back to them (smart) or 3. Spam
And if it’s spam, it is polite spam
I would personally take a break from hanging out with them them and do some introspection or start a new tv series or something else. Something you can do by yourself and not feel left out or lonely doing.
And if that doesn’t work, you could always come clean. Getting rejected does wonder for a crush. And sometimes it can even help you become better friends with the person you had liked. Tbh, some of my best friends are guys who I dated and then got dumped by so 🤷🏼♀️
The options aren’t great in this kind of situation aside from some unrealistic Hollywood ending.
To avoid this in the future, I would be honest about your feelings prior to whoever you like gets into a relationship. “Shoot your shot,” if you will. It’s better to be honest about your feelings and get shot down than to wind up in this kind of scenario and have to bottle up everything.
