OMG, you guys, I just found out the most disgusting thing about ancient Romans. Apparently, they used to use URINE to whiten their teeth. Yes, you read that right... PEE. They believed that the acid in urine helped break down plaque and stains, leaving their teeth looking pearly white. I mean, I've heard of some weird beauty hacks in my time, but this one takes the cake. Or should I say, it takes the pee. Anyway, I'm definitely sticking to my toothpaste and mouthwash from now on.
