55k per shaft & new roads: A development snapshot from Jhotwara.
So, what’s getting built in Jhotwara?
Under MLA Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore, last month saw projects worth ₹16.04 lakhs get completed. The focus was on two things:
WATER FIRST. A bunch of recharge shafts (costing ~₹55k each) are now in the ground at key spots like near the govt hospital, at Sirsi Ram Nagar crossing, and inside several schools (Bindayaka, Sirsi). The idea? Catch rainwater, push it underground, and fight the water crisis. Smart, long-term thinking. Over ₹1.65 lakhs went into this water security push.
SMOOTHER RIDES. New Cement Concrete roads are done in Indra Colony (₹25 lakhs worth) and Riddhi Siddhi Extension. Better connectivity = easier daily life.
The takeaway? It’s a combo pack of development: fixing the potholes today while also trying to secure the water for tomorrow.
