Design Studio 2 - Growing House

The Connectere: The concept

The structure's concept comes from the connected shapes with two-level floors. Three places make a cluster with greenery surrounding the house. The first floor is for public area, and the second floor is for private space with a garage connected to the first floor. This house uses a cross-ventilation with many windows. Also, for the skylight, one side of the higher roof is filled with glass to catch the morning sun. There is a fish pond at the back of the house for the husband to enjoy his hobby. The second floor has a karaoke plus theatre room for the whole family to enjoy their same hobby, watching movies and singing. This floor used direct circulation to reach every room.

Earth Day: September 16, 2012. I love love love plants! What if my house was a plant? Using a jungle tree's vines and guiding it like a bonsai tree except this is on the opposite pole in scale I could use organic materials that stretch and morph with the growth of the tree. Shape and form could be guided or if you want to be surprised let the tree create its' own little nooks and crannies. My house and I would be best friends. It provides me shelter and then I water it if it does not rain. I would play music to it too and give it a big hug when it was feeling sad. I would not be so lonely if I had such a house created for me. No more use of air filters needed or gross horrible synthetic scent covering products (which I will not name). Our breathes would complement each other. :) - Saro

I finally found out why my sketch ass neighbor that's never home, is never "home". 

Apparently his "house" is a grow house.. 

Motherfucker has been growing weed in every room of that house for almost 2 years and I never knew.....
