Ficbox - Living, Staying, and Working in one place while vacationing
Vacationing can be a great way to take a break from the stresses of daily life and recharge your batteries. But what if you could have the best of both worlds – a relaxing vacation and the comforts of home? That's where living, staying, and working in one place while vacationing comes in.
Ficbox is a great location for those who want to be in the midst of all the action. Situated in the Central Business District, there are plenty of office towers, embassy buildings, and tourist attractions in the area. Plus, if you need to do some shopping, there's a mall conveniently located right across the site. Because of all this activity, Ficbox offers capsule hotels and co-working spaces to accommodate those who need a place to stay or work while in the area. It's a smart move for anyone who wants to be productive and stay close to all the action.
This building's concept involves dividing it into five parts and creatively playing with the forms within these boxes to create an engaging design.

Tallasa Hotel
Project name : Tallasa Hotel Location : Hayam Wuruk Street, Central Jakarta City Site area : 5.355m2
The site's location was facing west, and in order to minimize the heat, the west-facing wall as well as the façade of the building uses natural stone material as that material can reduce the heat more than a concrete wall, also mix with vertical greenery Lee Kwan Yew plant. The swimming pool was located in the front, beside to catch the visitor's eye view, another function of the pool was to be a cooling system because water can reduce the building's heat and also brings humidity. The corridor's concept was a non AC system to utilize the wind that mostly came from the west side and cross through the corridor from the hanging potter and the railing completed with a green void open field for a greater cooling effect, and the pottery plant that can be used as an air purifier to reduce pollution. This hotel was intended to build using environmentally friendly material and system, from the swimming pool, hanging pottery, opening from the railing, open green field or void and the vertical greenery. As the void can bring more people to interact with each other because it was an open space and could be use as a sports field for visitors to exercise, run, even playing badminton can be done there and to provide the visitor with an outdoor feel.

Natur Spliding
The concept is to move towards dynamism that amplifies sustainability with split buildings surrounded by nature. The idea is to achieve an outdoor feel by being indoors, interconnected with outdoor paths.
Design Studio 2 - Community Center
The concept is to move towards effectiveness and create forms and structures that amplify simple square shapes yet playfully and functional.
The idea is to achieve complexity plan through layers and layers of simplicity.

Photography - Architecture for Broken Heart
I'm Lost
Everyone certainly had felt a broken heart before. The causes differ from rejected love to losing something precious in life. The impact of a heartbroken makes people sad, and sadness can cause long-term depression. In these photos, the figure feels deeply heartbroken because he lost something very precious in his life. This figure is looking for a quiet place to relax. This place gives a relaxing feel to people who need it. There is also an old place that is rarely passed by people, as shown in the picture, where the figure is watching old furniture, which means his thought is still in a mess. His dusty heart shows how big the hole he felt. There is a picture when we looked up and saw the peak of the building. This picture gave the impression that something had been lost and was too difficult to reach back. Standing in front of the window with a cracked texture in the wall showed his broken heart. Also, watching people through the window from afar means that he wants to be alone. An empty and sad heart is depicted through a calm corridor photo.
Design Studio 2 - Growing House
The Connectere: The concept
The structure's concept comes from the connected shapes with two-level floors. Three places make a cluster with greenery surrounding the house. The first floor is for public area, and the second floor is for private space with a garage connected to the first floor. This house uses a cross-ventilation with many windows. Also, for the skylight, one side of the higher roof is filled with glass to catch the morning sun. There is a fish pond at the back of the house for the husband to enjoy his hobby. The second floor has a karaoke plus theatre room for the whole family to enjoy their same hobby, watching movies and singing. This floor used direct circulation to reach every room.
Design Studio 1 - Tourism Centre
Stepping wood
This tourism center location is at Suaka Margasatwa, PIK, North Jakarta. It has two observation decks, one coffee shop, and two entrances. The first entry is for the cafe service area, and the second is for public visitors.
The concept of the structure comes from the contour swamp land of the site, different levels for every chamber lead to the observation deck that has the same height as the surrounding trees to observe plants and animals, then continue to the following observation deck that is higher than the surrounding trees to prevent the view from being blocked. The first floor is filled with cafes for visitors to enjoy the river view.

Learn from Japanese House Assignment
House with Garden - Tetsuo Kondo
Big life in small houses - split level house
The house is only two stories high but contains five different half-levels threaded together with two sets of staircases. The design allows the family to circulate the small house in various ways. The pitched roof that can blend the environment with the interior brings more light to the dwelling.
This split-level Japanese house gives me insight that a house still could be built, although located in a limited site area. The use of different level on every floor made the room looks more spacious and large. Meanwhile, it still looks like a regular height-level house on the outside.
^ Cutaway view
^ Model scale 1:50
^ Interior model look
It is quite a heavy teamwork project as the house has different height levels for each floor, so we must calculate first to know the size. This project led me to understand more about people's characters, how to work in a group, and to use shadow skills to make the drawing more presentable and fit the black-and-white theme where we decided to use.
^ Sequential view
What I learned from this project is how to create a presentation panel, write an essay, improve my drawing skill and teamwork.

Bridging the gap
A warm up teamwork project before really dive into an individual studio project
This is a group project that consists of 3 people each group. The task is to connect the two places without touching the middle ground (grey area) using one material only. So we decided to use the skewers with the help of rubber band, and create this same repetition of geometric shape.
Teamwork and balance were needed in this project.
This project got me learned to accept each person's idea, not to refuse but join the idea together to form a new stronger idea. Not to mention that stronger friendship was developed here too.
As they say
“Teamwork makes the dream work.”

Learn from Maestro Assignment
This sketch was drawn with 2B lead graphite pencil from Rembrandt’s work example. We were told to redraw the artwork from Maestro artwork. First, I didn’t noticed that my drawing was out of proportion because I drew too long and do detail on one’s side while the other side is still blank.
I learn that to draw something proportional we must draw the outline first, then do detailing and rendering in the end. If you work on detailing first, it will cost more time. Not to mention that if your drawing is too big or small, then you must delete the entire detailed side of the drawing while the other side of the paper is still blank and repeat the same draw again. Beside proportion, what I got to learn from this assignment are the artist’s sketching technique, the pencil scratches / hatch techniques, and rendering skill.
