Tiny Hands, Growing Minds

I got a few poems written tonight, I'm not sure how I feel about them but ima post anyways

This ones about teaching children and how adorable and wonderful they are:

Children dash and collect leaves in tiny hands,

Whilst thoughts gather in their growing minds,

But their worries weigh them down,

I want to teach them that they can learn more than words,

More than numbers,

They can learn how to use numbers to understand that sometimes things in this world don’t add up right,

To use their words to express and debate how they feel about this world,

Stop the relentless testing,

Focus on their button noses pressed with curiosity into the pages of a new book,

Minds racing with imagination about the ink they have laid on paper,

Inquisitive hands raised,

All rosy-cheeked and dimples, questioning this extraordinary universe.
