UNARMED
There are many times I have walked into situations UNARMED. Left vulnerable without the knowledge to defend myself. I fought out of fear and intimidation. Frightened because of insecurity.Panicking. I wasn’t taught the times I was supposed to vulnerable, the times it was okay to let people to see me and then times that I people needed to earn it. Going through life without these skills have made my journey more difficult that it needed to be.. I've been working harder and not smarter my whole life. Believing that growth can only happen through pain. Not taking a moment to acknowledge my small growths that happened without me even realizing. Now all I want to do is ARM myself with the skills to be better. I am thankful for the clarity that I’ve gotten thus far and the FREEDOM that I will gain in the upcoming year.
