He woke to familiar sounds:the stomp of hoof on hay, the murmur of a two-legged, furless talbuk as shewalked past his cozy, four-walled home. Finally, after weeks on the road and anexhausting regimen of biting, climbing, sleeping and fussing, he could relax.
Leaning his head out of thestall, the beast known as Grumpy Fuzzbutt felt his stomach grumble. Yetalready, the furless talbuk had filled his bucket with mash. Plunging hismuzzle in, he delighted in how it surrounded his tongue and teeth in warm deliciousness.All he needed now was… yes! A full water pail. With a snort, he took one drinkand upended it with a thrust of his nose. It splashed with a healthy splatterall over the aisle and triggered a yelp of consternation from the furlesstalbuk servant.
