alpha (and) demon.
[That was complete and utter bullshit.
If those three hadn’t interfered....
Bah. Faelan shook his head, re-entering Mhyra’s lair. He shifted back to a homid form, bones cracking and his hand still covering his blind eye. Seluna had scratched it pretty bad; he could feel blood trickling through his fingers. Whatever. It’s not like that eye worked anyways.
He couldn’t tell if Mhyra was here or not, but he slumps down by her favorite resting place, sighing heavily. He hadn’t fought, let alone shifted to a Crinos form, in the longest time; he ached.
But...well, he’s done what she told him to do. Something about that ached, too. But...Mhyra could fix it. She promised she would help him.]
[mhyra] First time we met we did it to share taxidermy techniques
i was actually thinking of someone else at first but like.....do you always flirt with people that way
// lunaticfangs please help I’m stuck with the mental image of Mhyra learning from her slightly biased source that ‘Yomiels have cooties’ and taking it literally and going ‘ew, if I get one, first thing I do is I’m dousing him in disinfectant’
[Text:] Hey! I'm home and I haven't seen you at the airport! Are you on your way? I'd really like to see you! ♥
The phone rings and flashes on the nearby table, showing that a new text from Nick has come in. Too bad that its owner isn't currently in the condition to pick it up and answer...
- Her long tail swishes slowly while she crouches; beast ready to pounce, Mhyra doesn’t waste time before leaping toward Cabanela. Her clawed hands are already forward, long fingers ready to clasp around his long neck while she pushes him violently against the wall. - Well well well. - She says languidly, teal tongue licking her black lips. - So you’re wearing it, don’t you? The source of that energy. I’ve been spying on you for a while, but I didn’t think you were so stupid to keep it with you. - She looks down at his stomach, her demonic eyes widening like she’s just seen something extremely valuable. - Temsik… - She says, looking back at Cabanela again. - How about you tell me about it, hm? I’ve heard that it prevents ghosts from passing to the other side.
He only barely registers her movements at first, focused on his possible lines of defence. Escape was out to begin with, with the demon standing between him and the exit. His own ghost powers would make short work of her, but the prospect of another death is terrifying. What else... there is always a way. There has to be.
Cabanela groans in pain as his head slams against the wall. He grabs her wrists, trying to get some air, and kicks her in the stomach - it's hard to think with precious few oxygen in his lungs. This is important. Whatever she is after, she can't obtain it.
"I said scram. Look at you, you don't need no parlour trick to avoid passin' to the other side!"
[gruxsome] - No warning, no announcements. Something as black as a shadow and just as agile breaks through a closed window to violently breaks in Cabanela's apartment. Bright red eyes look at him while a mischievous grin widens on Mhyra's face. - Hellooo darlin'!
'I have grown soft.' It's the first thought that flashes as Cabanela realizes where the sudden noise in his soundproof flat comes from. He has grown soft, where are his precautions, why is he being caught by surprise.
His second thought is to secure his help. His hand shoots to cover his chest in a gesture that looks scared and defensive. Sissel has been alerted. Should worst come to worst. Which it probably will (as it does), but Cabanela realizes that he does not know what the demon wants from him.
"Scram", he answers, bluntly, keeping his thoughts and his fears in check and to himself.
Or at least make it quick.
[gruxsome] I can relate. So tell me, why are you so feared?
Why am I afraid…?
