The nest present that she opened up was also candy canes. She was definitely going to have a sugar high that she knew the matron would not approve of. She laughed to herself at the thought and opened up the note. The name on the paper made her heart clench and every healing wound on her body ache. She chewed her bottom lip and placed it on her bedside cabinet, not sure how she felt about it. She knew that the attack wasn't meant for her, it was an accident.
