Kiko’s insta video
âťť fade to black ; mk & la
She bit her bottom lip upon watching her every move, slightly confused on what was going on. She didn’t want to ask, not at this point since she felt like it wasn’t the right timing to ask such questions, maybe she can ask them when things are better and not in this situation. She stood still, not being able to move, she was silently panicking, didn’t know what to do first. Upon noticing the professor was going towards their direction, all she could do was to watch what was about to happen. Good thing she already took care of it since Amber didn’t know what to say or what to reason out to the professor if she was asked, “O—okay.” Her voice rather shaky, as she grabbed her stuffs, slipping her hands against the latter’s hand, wanting to guide her as Amber felt like she needed to, tugging her hand lightly as she started to walk out of the room.
Amber didn’t have the guts to ask questions yet, she remained silent throughout the walk, she wasn’t sure how to ask, but deep inside, she was actually kind of relieved that Kiko chose her to accompany her. Did she trust her enough? Or maybe—the girl was left no choice since she didn’t know anyone else in the room? She glanced at the latter on the side of her eyes, not wanting to be obvious that she was observing the other, tightening her hold against the other’s hand. “A-a—are you okay now?”
Kiko waited patiently as Amber gathered her belongings. She was itching to run already, not wanting to linger for a moment too long. She felt that if she stayed for too long, her facade might crack. As she waited, her vision became blurry once more. But she walked with Amber anyways out of the classroom. Her legs were shaking horribly, clinging onto Amber. Her control was slipping. The blurriness in her vision did not happen once, but twice now. She felt hot, sweat running down her forehead. Breathing in and out, she tried to control herself. Her mother had taught her that counting helped. And if she focused, she would clear her mind. Everything will be okay. She wasn't going to be blind yet. She can't.
Eventually, she gained her bearing and straightened up to her full height. The bluriness was wearing off and she blinked hard until it eventually disappeared. As always she plastered a perfectly crafted smile on her lips. She took her hand away from Amber's grasps, already knowing it was sweaty. With shaky hands, she wiped it against her robe. "I'm sorry. Should we go to the infirmary?" She asked, laughing a bit as if that will somehow erase what happened from Amber's memory. Without waiting for an answer, she turned, heading towards the stairs that changed its course. Once it did, she walked up, turning to a corner. She looked back to see if Amber was following and as she saw the girl, all she felt was apologetic.
How could she drag someone into her lies? No matter how much she pretended everything was okay and normal, she knew it wouldn't be true. Kiko made a mental note to tell Amber that she shouldn't accompany her to the infirmary. Perhaps she could go back to her dorm and pretend nothing happened.Â

( ; his thoughts vaporized as he soon found himself drifting in between the worlds of dreams and reality. however, it seemed that as soon as he was transported into the dream world, a voice and a poke awoke him ) huh? Now, she just found herself worried. Seeing how immersed the female was, she begun to think that maybe she would be disturbing her instead of the other way around. In that sense, Adriana begun walking towards the other. Clearing her throat once, she had spoke up, “Ah..excuse me. Would it be okay for me to be here? It’s just that..” She blinked a few times and found herself standing there tilted slightly as she stared at the other. “You seem to be busy and I really wouldn’t want to go and disturb you here.”
The camera was heavy in her hand, too large for her small hands. To her, it was such a peculiar device. Much more different than the modernized and more...humane version. It took her a while to get accustomed to it. Even now she would say that she was not an expert at it. She only started using it a year ago after all. Kiko balanced the camera on one hand, helplessly trying to shoo away strands of hair that blocked her view. She left her wand at her dorm, thinking that she needn't use it. Without it, she was better off, really. There have been too many failed attempts at magic this week. The spells needed further concentration. She needed a way out of it for a bit. Who knew that she'd be tired of magic, seeing as she was a witch herself?
Kiko turned around, about to find another spot. The tower was large enough that it took her a while to get to the other side. The sight that unfolded in front of her was different. Â There was nothing blocking the view. She could only see the sea stretching endlessly. This time, she took her camera up, hearing the satisfying click as well as the light and cloud of purple that followed after. Her lips curved into a small smile, excited at the thought of using the magic potion that will cause the picture to move about. Though she wasn't sure she could hold the camera up for too long. She took one picture after the other. She wanted to take more but her hands were shaking. Had she possessed more strength, she could have held the camera for hours. Every single photo she took, she wondered if she could somehow use the lenses of the camera as eyes. Perhaps if she did, she could see better. Perhaps the fear of losing her sight will cease to exist.
She was about to take another picture but she heard a sound from behind her. Startled, she almost dropped her camera but she hugged it in time. Her heart was beating rapidly against her chest, and she looked up at the girl. Their eyes met and she was lost in hers. They were...warm. Like there wasn't a thing in life that she was afraid of. She was beautiful. Kiko found herself slowly lifting up her camera to take a picture of her(and she never took pictures of people) but stopped herself. Averting her gaze, she nods. "Yes, you can," she said in a small voice. Now she was even more nervous. Will she be there once she starts taking pictures? Should she leave? But that would cause the other girl to feel bad for being here in the first place. She had never taken a picture while someone was there. Surely she can do it. "My name's Kiko," she whispered. "And you are?"

She was about to go as soon as she finished her day dreaming — she was too preocupied by her thoughts that she didn’t noticed the piece of paper on her desk. Was she that absentminded? She picked it up, slightly stopping herself from laughing. She didn’t know if she find the note cute, childish or silly. She glanced at Kiko who seemed to be keeping herself busy, she must’ve been the one who wrote it, well. Amber doesn’t know anyone in the class, and she assumed it was indeed Kiko.
Amber bit her bottom lip and she turned around — about to write a reply beside the writing on the note. It took her around 1 minute to finish, turning back once more to give back the paper to the other, not until she noticed the latter was acting quite weird, “Are you okay?” she noticed something was up, and something was pretty much different from earlier. Upon observing the latter, she was about to approach the other not until she heard her words, “No. It’s okay.. I’ll help you clean it up.” And so, she did, she used the piece of paper to clean up the spilled ink, her hands stained with ink, as she glanced at the other once more. “Seriously, what’s up? Do you need a visit to the infirmary… You don’t exactly look okay..”Â
Panic made blood ring in her ears, her hands shaking mildly. Her vision blurred, as if she was suddenly splashed with water in the face, unable to recognize anything anymore. All she could see was a mesh of colors, and even then they were so blurred -- the mahogany brown of the table, ink now spread on it. No matter how many times it happened, she always took a while before she calmed down. She grabbed the edge of the table, feeling wetness against her palms. Amber's voice was warm, and as he spoke, she found herself just simply listening to the low timbre of his voice. He was cleaning up the ink, but she knew that it will dry soon. By that time, she needed to conjure a reason for her behavior. Lying at this point would make her look doubtable. Her physical reaction to her disease was far too strong to hide it.
"Can we...go to the infirmary?" She asked, voice barely above a whisper. Blindly -- literally -- she reached out for her bag, standing up. Footsteps approached her. Now that the ringing in her ears had subsided, she could tell that the room was quiet. Eyes bore into her skin and once she stood up, their professor approached them. "Are you alright?" She smiled weakly in response, shaking her head. Pretending to actually be sick won't be hard. Though she felt a twinge of guilt for lying to their professor. "C-Can I ask Amber to accompany me to the infirmary? He knows...that I have these migraines," she added the last one in a hurry, hoping that her seconds of hesitation wouldn't show that she was lying. She felt her professor's warm hand on her shoulder, giving it a comforting squeeze. "Okay. Go on ahead." With that, she bowed deeply, turning a little, just enough, so that she looked like she was looking at Amber. She plastered a faint smile on her lips, desperately hoping that her act was natural enough. The last thing she wanted was pity from the him. "Let's go?"

{ `/ he had always been the nicer one out of the two of them to Kiko. It’s been a long time.
{ ; // nods once, licking her lower lip, feeling the urge to take back what she said and appear more confident in front of him. she was much more confident as a little child, able to converse properly with people but due to certain circumstances she had grown to be reserved, even to those who knew her } I have homework...to catch up to due to my absence because of work. It's quite stressful. { ; // she added the last sentence, matching it with a small smile, only to flush even more at his teasing and the words that followed } I'm sorry...I thought-- Well, yes. It's been a while. You seem well.... I do hope you're alright?

It was a fairly chilly day. The sun was poking out behind the clouds, providing some sort of warmth from where she was standing. A cerulean blue lake lay outstretched in front of her, glistening with bits of sunlight reflected on it. She took a long while to take in the sight in front of her. closing her eyes. Behind her eyelids, the image was etched clearly in the darkness until each and every detail disappeared. She panicked and opened her eyes immediately, blinking rapidly, checking if she could still see. And when she saw the same view in front of her, she breathed a sigh of relief, gripping her camera. The old rusty device creaked a little and startled by the sound, she looked down, checking if it was still okay. Still okay, she thought to herself, a relieved smile spreading on her lips.
Slowly, she brought the camera closer to her face, looking at the view through the mini square space on it. Then pressed the button. She loved the sound that came after each click. So she moved around the tower, trying to find another spot and took another shot. “What is the purpose of taking all these pictures?” Her mother once asked her. Even though she didn’t say it directly, Kiko was old enough to understand what she meant with those words. Why take pictures when you can’t even see them when you become blind. Smiling, Kiko answered her, “Pictures last forever. Even when I become blind, what I saw will be seen by others. It’s kind of a legacy, I guess? Something I can leave behind.”
So Kiko continued taking pictures like that. And today was the perfect day because it was a clear, sunny day. She hummed as she took pictures, hoping this good mood of hers will last through the day.

( ; it was another nice day out which meant that ken had one place that he wanted to be — the courtyard. he loved just sitting out here, enjoying the sunshine. well, when there was sunshine anyway. luckily for him, there were still empty benches around, so he sat himself down before deciding that perhaps he would take a short nap. there was no one else who wanted to sit here, right? there were plenty of open benches around. he laid on his side and closed his eyes, not expecting for someone to approach him soon after )
{ ; // she tried her best to navigate through the halls, trying to find one of her old friends. she wasn't quite sure if the title still applied between them since she hardly spoke to him in the years they attended the same school, mostly because of her shyness and her inability to keep an interesting conversation going. she tried to remember where he was likely tp be found when it hit her. } Right. { ; // she whispered, turning in the direction of the exit that led her near the gardens. she saw him there a few weeks ago, taking a nap it seems, since the weather was fairly nice and no one really passed that area of the school. she stopped in her tracks, spotting a familiar figure leisurely laying on top of one of the benches, his back to her. kiko managed to smile in relief, jogging towards him and when she was close enough, she tentatively poked his shoulder, biting her lower lip } Jae...hwan? { ; // she asked hesitantly, his name feeling foreign on her tongue }

After she had let the other solve the cube on her own, she watched the other eagerly as she continued to play with it, her eyes widened, smiling widely with quite amusement as she took the cube from Kiko, “Well, not bad.” She bit her lip, looking over at the other who seemed to be very proud of her record, she felt slightly guilty for underestimating her, but she couldn’t help it since the girl didn’t looked like she was into rubix cubes at all, or maybe she judged her a bit early. “Well, I guess you didn’t need my guide after all.” She stuck her tongue out playfully, slipping the toy inside her pocket and sitting comfortably on her seat. Not long after, the professor had arrived.
She was just really too lazy to listen to the professor, her mind seemed drifting off, staring against her professor absentmindedly. Seriously, history is the least subject she liked, it was just too boring for her and she hated studying history in general. Amber didn’t knew she was actually staring at the professor for too long now, she didn’t even heard the professor’s instruction that they had to go to the library by pair to do some research about history in magic.
Kiko bit the inside of her cheek, blushing lightly at the compliment. She was trying to show off for some unknown reason but didn't really expect the other to acknowledge her skill. She watched as it disappeared inside his pocket. She wanted to try her hand at being social -- surely, Amber wouldn't mind seeing as he was quite talkative -- but decided against it. Being too familiar might turn him off. Besides, it's not as if they were friends yet. They only spoke once before today and under certain circumstances. Surely they wouldn't have crossed paths otherwise. In the end, she decided to face forward, just as the teacher placed his belongings on top of the table.
Attentively listening and taking notes, she couldn't help but give a sideways glance at Amber. He had that lost look in his eyes, as if he was far off in some other world. Curiosity piqued, Kiko was stuck looking at him, wondering where he was in his thoughts. She almost dropped her quill, too distracted but she managed to divert her attention back to their teacher. He had put his book down, looking at his students. "Pair up and research about the Giant Wars. I expect a full report on this by next week. Dismissed." With that, everyone scrambled to friends, some choosing to be with strangers. Kiko felt rather awkward, looking at the person who sat beside her. She was just waiting for someone to ask Amber to be their partner. When no one approached him, she licker her lips, tearing a piece of the paper she was writing her notes on, writing in black ink.
Will you be my partner?
She carefully put the piece of on top of the other's desk, busying herself by cleaning up her things, her cheeks stained with pink. She was trying to be fast by cleaning when suddenly, she stopped, blinking. It was happening again. She blinked once more, panic rising to her throat, her breathing becoming slightly ragged. No, not here, she thought, reaching blindly for her quill and ink, hitting the ink bottle with her hand. The contents spilled on her desk. She stood up, fishing for her wand, pointing it somewhere she wasn't sure. Amber can't notice a thing. She can't. If she could somehow use a spell right now she would be safe. But in her panic, she couldn't think of anything. "I...I'm sorry," she said, voice shaking as well as her hand. "I'm a bit clumsy. I'll clean it up. You can just go."
You find a stem of rose lying on your bedside table and a small piece of paper with a nicely hand written quotation that says, "Always remember to be happy because you never know who’s falling in love with your smile."
