your blog is super fab, the only things i would pick out are tiny, like the next and back arrows are a lil big and im not a huge fan of the typeface you have for your blog title and as i have said, i personally prefer 500px wide posts but that is just personal preference, other than that lovely lovely lovely :)

i still need my advisor's signature, since i'm still going to minor in music haha. and what are the "quantitative" and "scientific literacy" requirements that is listed on the major/jmu site? are those specific classes?
Hmm..I'm getting my BA, not a BS, so I don't have those requirements. I'm trying to think of what one of my friends said that's going for a BS; I believe the quantitative is just a math class and scientific literacy is taking a (social I think? not sure sorry) science that are outside of the GenEd requirements. Not sure though sorry. ;-;

Okay, I'll ask them this coming Monday about how long it takes! :) And as far as I know, you should be able to do it with just your advisor's signature. To be honest, I have no clue whether or not you need the department head's permission since the SMAD application is kinda weird. Typically how it goes is that you change your major to "SMAD declared." Then when you are taking SMAD 101, they give you the application packet. Inside the packet is a new change of major sheet that will require you to put that you want to change your major from "SMAD declared" to "SMAD admitted" (this goes in the packet, if you get accepted you become SMAD admitted and if not you go back to SMAD declared). And just in case, the SMAD's main office is in Harrison Hall room 0276. c:

No prob! :D And thanks, I love your icon and all your posts [especially FOB posts]. My teachers are Dr. George Johnson and Dr. Roger Soenksen, funny old dudes who really enjoy SMAD who've been teaching for quite some time. I'm not sure about the catching up part, but I think you could! Some classes are restricted to junior and seniors (so more spots in required classes could be available to you). I do know for sure that you have to have 78 hours outside of SMAD and 36 within SMAD. A lot of it depends on the professors though, some classes allow you to skip ahead if you get their permission to take their class(es) if you don't have the pre/co-requisite(s). The major classes for Web Design are split up into Interactive Design for the Web I and Interactive Design for the Web II; both of which I think you can get into w/o pre-requisite classes with the professors permission. It may take longer only because there are required classes that no one can take unless already admitted (201, 202, and 301 plus 400, but that's for seniors only). I can totally ask one of my professors for you if you want.
