I'm trying to trim down my tbr list(s) and I'm asking for your help! Descriptions and more info under the cut. Please reblog and add your thoughts!
i literally can’t stop thinking abt this
Breaking in a new sketch book with some Warlock Holmes doodles. I missed this silly guy
I love seeing a creator push a piece of media I love into the spot light.
Someone has been posting about Warlock Holmes and now some of my posts are getting some traffic.
Im doing a re-read right now and fan art will be made post haste
Alright, I wrote the first chapter of a Warlock Holmes fanfic. I'll probably write another fic after this one that's actually about Warlock and John, but for now you get weird Moriarty/Watson character analysis. Go find it on AO3. It's by Kasterscorner. do be merciful though it is my first fanfic.
I haven't posted any Warlock Holmes art in a hot second, so here's a weird thing from the end of the 1st book!
Reasons to read Warlock Holmes by GS Denning:
It's a Sherlock Holmes adaptation that makes fun of the confusing parts of the original stories such as continuity errors and perspective shifts
Demons!
Nihilistic vampires!
Prophetic but spiteful Oracles who's sole purpose in existence is now to harass a dead wizard
2 instances of what I will call a Mummy coma
2 instances of horse murder but not in the way you would think
A canonical Johnlock kiss
Magic users galore
A surprisingly prevalent queer allegory
A complexly evolving villain who ranges from inconvenient occasional possessor to murderous magic mafia crime lord
Plot relevant paper boat hat
Plot relevant gambling problems
Extremely competent Watson, character flaw: English
Extremely powerful magic user Warlock Holmes, character flaw: Mental Illness
Other reasons not involving the text: I really need to be able to talk to folks about these books,I am deeply unwell about them
