Made it to Seattle
Our flight out of Chicago was on time and exactly 4 hours!!! I worked on my NSF proposal for a hour, slept for 1.5 hours, and played some hardcore sudoku for the remainder of the trip. I also listened to 6 chapters of the Sorcerer’s Stone. So the sorting hat was singing when I turned it off.
I forgot to mention that BOTH of my bags got checked in the Knoxville airport. I have a box filled with business cards for Time Scavengers and myself and to be safe I put two of our 3D models in the box. I imagine those showed up SUPER weird on the scanner. So a TSA lady riffled through all my clothes to get to the box.
Then my backpack got searched but she only took out a handful of my granola bars and swabbed them. I’m not sure what they thought was on them but it was weird and I was scared I was losing my only snacks.
Our hotel is super nice, I’ll take some pictures at some point. It’s .2 mi from the conference center (yay) and has complimentary breakfast (triple yay). We just had some lunch and are all feeling a bit exhausted from traveling but we are excited to head to the mixer soon! It starts in one hour!
Tomorrow Logan, Sarah, and Maggie ALL have poster presentations (so jealous) so stay tuned for some awesome shots.
