Sorry this is 1.) Late and 2.) Technically unfinished but I told myself I had to upload this Monday night at latest cuz I now have to kick it in gear for Metadede week. Still came out nicely though! Had a lot of fun putting together this week and getting to ink stuff again. I also hope this served as a decent intro to the Metaknightmare AU which I may come back to soon.

While Meta knight was...quite the handful in his youth...he changed quite a lot once he reached early adulthood. With his change in character came a change in how he viewed his past self. That being cringe. He was a cringe kid. Even thinking about it sends shivers up his spine, and what's worse is that there's people still alive who knew that side of him well and teases him about even in the present.
While Meta does spill his guts to the three children post-anime story, he actively makes it known he wasn't a badass in his youth (as much as Tuff tries to spin it) and rather was a spoiled, bloodthirsty child who didn't have a proper mentor until Galaxia came along.
Well...that's it for this week! If you have any questions about the AU make sure to throw them into my askbox and I'll try and answer them when I can.
I think I'll be able to post the last day sometime over this weekend, but I will be a tad late, oops.

Despite Galaxia being able to keep Nightmare mostly at bay, Meta knight was still plagued with nightmares. Both of his past, and the possibly of a hopeless future. It sucked, really, but Kirby's appearance brought him happiness, as if this truly is the child destined to defeat Nightmare...then he had nothing to fear. Meta knight suspected that Kirby was aware of the fact the knight had...unfortunate origins. So it surprised him that the little fella liked him, and didn't see him as a threat. It was nice to have someone know the truth but not judge him for it, not weaponize it against him.
Little did the knight know, that there were many others that would soon know the truth, and not hold it over him.
Did you guys think day two was gonna be all calm and happy? Not in this AU unfortunately.

While Jecra was very much up for the task of working alongside the GSA's demon-beast enemy-turned-ally, Garlude wasn't. This thing had actively taken Galaxia from her, and not only did the sword choose him, it apparently wanted him to fight against his own creator (like that was going to happen).
It was already wild to her that Sir Arthur didn't immediately kill him after they ran testing on the beast, and rather seemed to take interest in him. And of course her leader had to put this brat in her hands. Did she really have to train this demon teenager? One who barely seemed interested in redeeming himself. The beast was always muttering to Galaxia, whatever she had in mind for him, it only made Garlude angry. Why had the legendary sword picked him? She asked Meta, and he merely grunted about some kind of prophecy not even he knew about. Oh, how she disliked Meta, was this what all teenagers were like? Perhaps she should've thought twice about having a child... (Don't worry, their relationship betters as Meta learns not to be an ass).
Jecra liked Meta, he liked being friends with a demon-beast, even though Meta hated him as much as the beast hated everyone else in the GSA. It was interesting to see one so close and personal. Garlude told him that he's merely egging Meta on with not choosing to berate him for his poor behavior, but Jecra can't help it. He likes seeing the kid happy when he does some dumb prank. Hell, Meta seems to trust him despite all the shittalking about him. Though Jecra recently realized all this nasty behaviors have become a ruse. At night on missions he can hear the kid mumbling to Galaxia, words laced with worry and guilt about if he is doing the right thing, and if he too would become an enemy of his father.
This one isn't as crazily illustrated because I've got to consider my school/social media life balance now however I'm going to try not to miss any days here.

While Meta, during his affiliation with Nightmare, was someone the GSA had fought against countless times, it seems that as a warrior in training he has new tricks up his sleeve. Oh course Jecra and Garlude had to teach him the honorable moves of a knight, though he seemed to take to it better than the both thought. Perhaps his "talking" sword was assisting him with the training too.
Heyo! I've finally brought some things to the table that have effort put into them (school started for me recently so I haven't had time to work on fanart). For GSA week I'll be doing solely black and white hatched pieces because it's quicker to do and I've been wanting to do inking like this since I haven't in a bit.
@gsaweek (thanks to them for putting the week together!)

Since this GSA week covers the anime AU I've been talking about, I had to cover Sir Arthur on the first day. He's the leader of the GSA who pretty much accidentally created it when he decided to step up against Nightmare and other people wanted to join him. In the beginning people didn't exactly see him as great leader. He was a great fighter and all, but he wasn't great at planning and logistics (this is due to his relatively humble origin of being a castle guard/body guard in an ancient civilization as well as already having war experience as a soldier). Over time he ended up becoming quite a fine leader, though his natural kindness and tenderheartedness makes it hard for him to be put on a pedestal that puts his life over others.
While Sir Arthur doesn't admit this to many, the GSA doesn't just exist to fight Nightmare and NME, it also exists to find the location of a specific temporal warrior for a reason only Arthur truly knows...
Since this week is already dedicated to an AU, here's Sir Arthur's redesign concept. It's still in the works but I wanted to change up some things (no offense Arthur but your point helmet is kinda hard to make look good).

Not much to be explained here, other than that I've added a ton more stars to his design to make up for taking away his pointy helmet. The swirls and armour design is intentionally made to mimic the old original armour Galacta wore. The leader added these details to bring a sense of soft familiarity to his long lost lover.
(I didn't have time to hatch today I was in school for 10 hours)
Day four goes to my crackship old man yaoi which I had to do at some point

A very long time ago, before the GSA, Sir Arthur was but a simple castle guard who just so happened to know a once legendary figure: Galacta Knight. Or as he was known back then, Aeon. While their relationship seemed to be one of quaint friendliness, the two harbored a secret romance. That romance continued even through a war, the rise of a destructive god, and the civil clashing which led to the collapse of the ancient society. However one day, Galacta disappeared, and Arthur was left alone.
Years and years later, Arthur still looked for Galacta, even into his GSA days. It was only until NME caught wind of the temporal warrior, and Nightmare was easily able to find and retrieve Galacta from his crystal seal. Possession/demon-beastification was easy as the warrior's inner feelings had balled up into a fine rage. How horrible it was for the leader of the GSA to be met with his lover, on the side of his enemy. Though even through all the control, Galacta was able to free himself through recognizing Arthur on the battlefield. The two were finally reunited after who knows how long.
Though Arthur doesn't like Galacta fighting, as he's not in his prime anymore, the warrior still tries. He is however, quite the good teacher, and seemed to be a person Meta knight took interest in. The old warrior wasn't entirely trusted by the rest of the GSA at first, though his personality and Arthur becoming more open about the status of their relationship caused him to be a bit of a beacon in the army.
