gThumb 3.4.0 Available In PPA

gThumb 3.4.0 is now available in the WebUpd8 gThumb PPA. gThumb 3.4.0 uses header bars and its preferences can only be accessed under GNOME Shell so for now it’s not recommended to install it on other desktop environments!

Changes in gThumb 3.4.0 since the previous stable series (3.2.x):

How To Install gThumb

Because it is available via PPA, installing gThumb 3.2.3 on Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Elementary OS and Pear OS is easy. All you have to do is add the ppa to the system, update the local repository index and install the gthumb package. Like this:

$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:dhor/myway $ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gthumb

gThumb 3.0.1

The first gThumb 3 bugfix release: 3.0.1, is now available in the WebUpd8 gThumb PPA for Ubuntu 12.04 and 11.10.

Starting with version 3.0, gThumb has been ported to GTK3, so it can't be built for Ubuntu versions older than 11.10.
