It happened. The tables have turned at that instant of the flip. At that instant, it seems as though all is lost. She's gambled too carelessly, and now it's come back against her. And him. They've slowly fallen victim to the gambling greed, confused and scared of their next step. She pushes herself back from the table and clasps her hands to her face, futilely trying to hide her tears from her failed gamble. If they gain another point but in the wrong position, they may continue to fall hopelessly into the depths of their gambles.

Everyone begins at this point. A blank slate, the beginning. She and all her friends think they can stay at the beginning, gambling and testing their luck with how well they can play this game. They have many cheats that can help them stay ahead of this game, but the super gamblers, they go all in, hoping their bet will keep them in the game. Before they know it, their luck changes, and the numbers slowly start to change, twisting the game ever so slightly but significantly to the point where they can never go back to the beginning. From there, they can only keep playing the game, either as pairs or breaking of as singles, hoping to keep their hand low, or to aim for specific numbers.
I was sitting here trying to remember the strange acronyms on tumblr, like GPOY and OTP, and I’m thinking "Wait, so what’s GTPAL?" … Ahh, yes. Gravida. Term. Preterm. Abortions. Living. This is what nursing school did to me. Not gonna lie—I kind of love it.
