What's that? You want to hear about his backstory?
Okay, okay...here we go :)
Trick Latran always wanted to be a hero, ever since he was young. To be praised and adored, to help people every day just like the protector of their home city of Fewtopia, Vee V1.
This desire was only exacerbated by the powers he was born with: electrokinesis and technokinesis on a nearly unparalleled scale.
There was only one problem, one roadblock standing between Trick and heroism…and that was the fact that his abilities were simply too powerful for him to control. He tried everything to get them under control, but nothing worked.
He almost gave up on his dreams.
They tried to help people in other ways- volunteer work, community service, charity...nothing quite scratched that ever-present itch inside of them.
Eventually, he decided that he could still be a hero, even while keeping the usage of his powers to a minimum, and struck out as the vigilante Discharge.
Things went well, for a time. He established out a section of the city as his territory, and patrolled it relentlessly. He stopped what must have been dozens, maybe even hundreds of small-time crooks, and even a couple of real villains!
They were helping people, and it felt good.
But all good things must come to an end, and Trick's time as Discharge was no exception.
There was a villain attack in his territory. I'm not entirely sure who it was just yet, but whoever the villain was, they were far above Trick's power level.
They knew that they should have ran, that they should have called for backup from stronger, more experienced heroes.
But he didn't.
He couldn't.
...He almost died, that day.
He used his powers without holding back for the first time in years, ignoring the pain coursing through his body in order to hold the villain off just long enough for a savior to arrive.
As his assailant's hand came crashing down upon Trick's bruised, bleeding body, a flash of green filled his vision.
Vee V1, having been alerted to what was going on by the wave of electricity that Discharge had released, stood above the coyote Toon in all of her glory, a determined smirk on her face.
And that was the last thing Trick saw before he passed out.
When Trick woke up, he was in the hospital, surrounded by beeping machines and worried-looking doctors.
He was told what had happened- Vee had saved him, yes, but at a heavy cost.
Trick's legs, little more than bloody messes when he had arrived at the hospital, had to be amputated, and even worse, the electric burst he had produced had completely fried his nervous system.
The doctor speaking to him stuttered and sweated as she delivered the final crushing blow- that Trick had been paralyzed from the neck down by his own powers, that he'd never be able to move again.
Trick's parents had flown in the best doctors they could from Althea City, and...there was nothing they could do.
Trick was going to rot away in a hospital bed, trapped in a useless, helpless wreck of a body, and it was all his own fault.
...And that was when it came to him.
On the edge of sleep, in the place just between dreams and reality, it showed itself to him, and made him an offer. A deal of sorts, a pact.
It would give him power, it would give him a second chance at life...and all Trick had to do was let it in.
He accepted, of course.
He didn't know what this thing was, nor did he know what it wanted from him, but nothing could be worse than dying here, alone in a cold, sterile hospital room.
In the morning, when the doctors came to check in on their patient, the room was empty.
And a few days later, Technotheosis made their debut.
"I believe that there's a hero in all of us
That keeps us honest, gives us strength, makes us noble,
And finally allows us to die with pride.
Even though sometimes we have to be steady, and give up the thing we want the most.
Even our dreams."
- Aunt May Parker, Spider-Man 2.
Welcome!
This is an ask blog for an ever-growing collection of original characters from @aydentew3102's Dandy's World Guardianview AU, owned and run by the @eventide-paradox.
This post is most likely going to be updated pretty regularly, so keep an eye out for that!
Here are the CHARACTERS currently available for asks!
Characters marked with a '(WIP)' are still being worked on, so I likely won't be answering asks directed to them for a bit.
-> Trick Latran / Technotheosis + 'Rago' / the Singularity
-> The Surge Protectors
-> Zenith Penumbrem / Totality
-> Thanatos, God of Death
-> BerryBlitz, the Fastest Twisted 'Alive'
Here are the RULES of the blog! Follow 'em, and we won't have any problems:
-> No explicit NSFW, although suggestive content is allowed on a case-by-case basis.
-> Bigotry will not be tolerated. Get your shit off my blog.
->This is, first and foremost, an ask blog, not a roleplay one. I might still do roleplays on here, but I'd prefer that to be kept to a minimum. I am, however, more than happy to answer in-character asks from other in-universe characters.
-> While the asks in this blog themselves are not canon, the answers to them are. Please keep that in mind.
-> Please, don't rush my answers to asks. Contrary to popular belief, I do have a life outside of Tumblr.
Nightshade gets pretty distraught by sudden changes especially to people she knows. She has trouble dealing with change she wasn't there to witness, she even has trouble recognizing people who changed almost completely from who they were.
She still sees Trick as the same toon she met despite the deal he made with "the thing", sure it's a bit hard for her to see past the fact that his soul is now fused with "It" but other than that she still recognizes him.
However she has extreme trouble recognizing Gavin, After she discovered that he finally cracked from all the pressure and became an almost ice cold toon. She understands why because it was bound to happen at some point from all the crazy stuff happening (she herself cracked some time during her three years after dying, from all the tragedy she witnessed from other ghosts) but didn't expect him to become so... Different from who he used to be.
Technotheosis by @eventide-paradox and Gavin by @diggitydoggo
Well after they lost their siblings, Juniper’s mom moved the two of them to Fewtopia! For a fresh start :)
However, their mom is still a Piece Of Shit. So one day their mom is publicly being a piece of shit which is yknow. Normal for ten year old Juniper! But this time! Theres a Technotheosis :)
After witnessing their mothers horrible “parenting” skills, Technotheosis steps in, calls in some favors, and now their mom has been arrested for child abuse(and neglect, after investigation)! But where oh where will the child go? Their birth dad is absent… so Technotheosis steps in and adopts the little guy!
After that its basically just 4 years of teaching the child to not refuse basic necessities
And now we’re in present day with a happy and healthy child whos also a menace

What are Technotheosis's thoughts on Guardianview?
Morning Star: Morning Star is everything that Technotheosis wants to be- revered but not feared, loved by everyone he meets.
He'd never admit it, but Trick may have had a crush on the flower when he was younger...
Hypnos: The god of dreams has always been something of an enigma to Trick. Beautiful and serene, but uncanny in a way that the coyote can't quite put his finger on. Of course, it doesn't exactly help that the thing sharing his form blares fuckin' sirens in his head whenever he so much as nears the lunar deity.
BerryFast: Technotheosis admires the speedster and his willingness to do what needs to be done. However, as sheltered as Trick was growing up, he doesn't know of the incident in Althea City, and perhaps his opinion on the heroic berry would change if he were to learn...
Vee V1: The protector of Trick's home city, and the only reason that he's alive at all today. Technotheosis has nothing but the utmost respect for Vee, with a (completely platonic istg) adoration for the heroic machine that verges on idolization.
Rhestorian: Technotheosis honestly doesn't know as much about Shelly as they'd like to. They're certainly interested in her abilities (I wouldn't be surprised at all if they had a dinosaur phase when they were young (his favorite was yutyrannus huali)), and he shares her disdain for Brightney, albeit for different reasons.
Pebble: What is there to say about the pup, really? He's reliable in a pinch, and he's definitely cute. Oddly enough, Pebble threw a barking fit the first time Trick met him...Morning Star said something about Pebble not liking foxes? Fortunately, that was cleared up easily enough with an explanation that although they may look similar, foxes and coyotes are not, in fact, the same animal.

So, I did some writing! I haven’t written a full fanfic in a while, but hopefully it’ll have a decent reception.
TW for relatively graphic descriptions of a dead body and the post-resurrection actions thereof.
As always, the Dandy's World Guardianview AU belongs to none other than @aydentew3102, and Technotheosis belongs to yours truly.
I apologize in advance for any text-color fuckups- Tumblr likes to do that, especially with the chat font 😭
Anyways, without any further ado, this is...
DEUS EST MACHINA: His Will Be Done
Chapter One
OBSERVATION: These [foes/pawns/supplicants] hold a [null]% chance of attaining [victory/dominance].
RECOMMENDATION: Neutralize.
Technotheosis growls under their breath as they flick a bolt of golden electricity at an approaching Toon, sending the now-paralyzed criminal sprawling to the ground.
“I’m not going to kill them, Rago. They’re petty thugs, not Twisteds or even real villains.”
With a sigh of exhaustion, the canine Toon scans the now-trashed room, methodically checking over the prone bodies littering the concrete floor. No casualties, only a handful of serious injuries…they’d be fine. Physically, that is- Trick couldn’t say the same for their reputations after word spread throughout the criminal underworld that the notorious Steel Jaw gang had been taken down by one of Fewtopia’s newest heroes.
For a group composed entirely of humans and unpowered Toons, they’d certainly put up a good fight- not that it really mattered.
Trick was a Toon on a mission, and that mission was simple: find out why six different criminal organizations had suddenly put aside their differences to collectively take control of the entirety of Fewtopia’s manufacturing district.
In most cases, Technotheosis would leave a situation like this to the pros, but now that the ‘Synthesis Syndicate’ or whatever these lowlifes were calling themselves had started to stir up trouble on his turf…well, that made it personal.
He’d fought through…eight? Nine warehouses so far? Honestly, Trick had lost count after the fourth or fifth. Anyways, this was somewhere around the tenth makeshift compound they’d cleared out this week (and it was only Tuesday!), and he was still no closer to figuring out just what in the Underworld was going on.
Stick to the plan, Trick. Take out the bad guys, search the place, move on to the next spot. In and out, quick and easy.
One room…clear. Not a gear out of place.
Onto the next room. And the next…and the next.
Gods, he hates this part. It's boring, tedious, and the smell certainly isn't pleas…ant…?
That…that isn't the smell of rusty metal. Not the smell of expired beer, dried oil, or any of the other typical scents to be detected wafting around a shipping warehouse either.
It's a scent Trick knows well, one that brings with it memories of pain and helplessness and utter, all-consuming fear.
The unforgettable stench of spilled Ichor strikes the coyote's nose, and their eyes go dark...just as everything else follows suit.
...
DIAGNOSTIC: Complete.
Consciousness was lost for [8.439] minutes.
Host is currently operating at [94]% efficiency.
CONCLUSION: Current operating parameters are acceptable. Continue.
...Really, Trick? Passing out at the scent of blood? Not even the sight, but the smell alone?
Pathetic. Get over yourself, will ya?
You have a job to do.
OBSERVATION: Host's current thought patterns are indicative of [stress/anger/self-hatred/???]
"...Shut the fuck up."
The coyote forges on, steeling the wires that have long since replaced his nerves as he swings open a heavy door, inhaling sharply as his mismatched eyes lock onto the Toon within.
...Honestly, calling that thing a Toon is quite generous.
Roughly crammed into the still-turning gears of a machine that's barely recognizable through the Ichor that stains its once-pristine metal, the mangled corpse of a Toon stares across the room with glazed, lifeless eyes at Technotheosis.
The hero gags, swallowing down vomit as he tentatively steps closer to the body, the rancid stink of Ichor and motor oil stabbing at his nose as something slick and juicy pops beneath his mechanical feet.
"Oh, that's...eugh. Gods above and below..."
Taking a deep breath (well, that was a mistake), Technotheosis crouches down, holding his breath as best he can as he looks over the dessicated corpse. Looks to be a plant Toon of some kind (Some sort of flower, maybe? It's hard to tell, for obvious reasons), maybe about...never mind. That...isn't something Trick wants to think about.
The canine hero taps twice on the side of the goggles he's almost never seen without, snapping photo after photo of the victim's body from every angle he can think of. He hates doing this, hates having to keep a permanent reminder of every grisly death he's had the displeasure of being subject to the sight of, but he'll need as much evidence as possible if he wants to strike a real blow against the sick fucks that did this.
...And hey, maybe this'll come in handy when they inevitably have to file mountains of paperwork with the police department- what, never heard of using humor to lighten the mood?
STATEMENT: We are not alone.
"...What-?"
And with that, the glassy eyes of the corpse before Trick begin to shine with...well, it's certainly not life that gleams within those vacant orbs. A mockery of such, perhaps, painted in shades of red that should be familiar to anyone, human or Toon, who's lived long enough to truly understand the idea of death.
"...Oh. Oh, crap."
Technotheosis leaps backwards, electricity leaping to his fingertips as the reanimated Toon- no, the Twisted- haltingly dragged itself out of the machine that had held it prisoner, lurching to the mangled lumps of undifferentiated flesh, muscle, and sinew that passed for its feet with a spine-chilling screech.
The Twisted flower (because that was what it was, the Ichor-formed 'petals' adorning the poor thing's head made it impossible to mistake for anything else)'s head swung back and forth as if hanging from a pendulum, its venomous gaze flickering from object to Trick to an object again...before finally landing back on Trick. More specifically, on the symbol emblazoned proudly across the chestplate of his armored suit.
With a wet, guttural growl, the undead Toon lunged at the hero, gnarled hands twisted into jagged claws that skidded off of Trick's metal armor with a screech like nails being dragged across a chalkboard.
OBSERVATION: This [revenant/sacrifice] is most [vulnerable/fragile/devout] in the cranial region.
"Go for the head? Got it."
Honestly, Trick probably could have figured that out himself- the fact that the poor thing's brain was exposed was a dead (pardon the pun) giveaway.
Trick lashes out at the Twisted, quickly striking at its head with electrically-charged claws. It recoils, hissing through crumbling teeth as it once again attempts to claw at the insignia inscribed upon Trick's chestplate...and as once again, it has no effect.
Twisteds, especially the newly-reborn ones, aren't exactly known for their intelligence, y'know?
Trick grins, although his teeth are gritted. He can see his electricity coursing through the Twisted's body...a few more strikes, and the poor thing should be put out of its misery.
STATEMENT: It will return.
"Ya think I don't know that? Look- we take the thing down first, and then we can figure out what to do with it. 'Kay?"
AFFIRMATIVE.
Trick launches into another strike, their claws slashing at the reanimated Toon's exposed cranium and...ripping into its brain.
He...didn't expect that. He really didn't expect that.
The Twisted falls to the ground, dead...for now. Trick grimaces, shaking off his hand as brain-matter and Ichor drip from his claws.
"That's...disgustin'. At least it's dead..?"
He shakes his head. He'll...deal with that later.
He drops to a knee, gingerly tilting the fallen Twisted's face upwards. He hates this, hates every bit of it, but...there have been a good few disappearances reported recently, and if this poor thing was any of the missing Toons, then it was Trick's responsibility to bring the news back to their loved ones.
Unfortunately, though...what Trick sees on the Twisted's face isn't recognizable as any of the Toons that he saw on the missing posters.
In fact, it...isn't really recognizable as a face at all, with how the transformation from an inanimate corpse into a Twisted mangled it even further beyond the disgusting state it had been when he'd first found it.
What was recognizable, though, was the symbol carved clumsily into the poor thing's forehead...the symbol that Trick realized with a low gasp was the same icon the Twisted had been enraged at the sight of just minutes ago.
The same symbol that Trick himself wore, proudly emblazoned across his chest.
I’m going to ask ya a favor. So, I’ve been wanting to do Guardian View stuff but idk what to do.
Soooo, I was thinking, which Oc of mine would u wanna have interact with one of ur ocs? Thanks for reading this :D
Honestly, I'm not entirely sure- depends on context and the like.
Thanatos could interact with any character, but he very rarely does so unless you've garnered his interest for whatever reason (typically by altering/defying one's fated end or by creating/experimenting with Twisteds).
BerryBlitz can really only interact with characters in Althea City, since it never really leaves.
Trick/Technotheosis and Zenith/Totality are a good bit easier, since although they live in Fewtopia, they operate all around the world, going wherever they're needed.
Has technotheosis ever encountered or heard of the vigilante nightshade?
Technotheosis rarely leaves Fewtopia, at least at the current point in the timeline.
However, I could see them having teamed up back when Trick went by Discharge- maybe he went on a trip to Shirelock for some reason, and met her there? He was a vigilante like her back then, so I wouldn't be surprised if they worked together for a bit while he was in town.
