I hate taking time off from my knitting cause restarting is always the hardest part. But after a week of covid I'm so ready to get going on this shawl. I really hope I can work fast enough to get it done before October hits.

I'm sooooo close to finishing the shawl and I'm so excited! Only 2 more pattern repeats before I can cast off and treat the acrylic to feel nicer/block it to be all pretty and soft. This week is a really short one due to public holidays so I'm hoping to finish this before the end of October.
I am now officially halfway done with the shawl I'm making @kalgalen! It's measuring an almost perfect 100cm long, so it's on track to be just about perfectly on the given pattern measurements. And it's already so warm with the bottom half draped on my lap so I know it'll be super cozy when it's done!
Work and resting from that work has been eating up a lot of the time I've wanted to use to work on this and significantly slowed my progress, but it's coming together really nicely. I'm hoping with this week's long weekend I can get at least another repeat or two done (so at least 76-152 rows).
I really need to be more realistic when estimating how long a knitting project will take me. I already know I knit slow and with all the other crap that takes up all my time and energy, a month to finish a shawl was ridiculous to try to commit to.
Me, all proud thinking I'm halfway done with the guernsey shawl. Only to realize I am in fact only on my third repeat and not my fourth... Well I guess I really need to speed up if I'm gonna get this done before October...
I need something to binge watch/listen to while I work on some knitting. Anyone have any suggestions? It'd be great if it didn't need a ton of brain power cause this pattern requires a bit of counting and keeping track of where tf I am on a chart
