Guestsnow Feature Spotlight: Promoter Access
Manage Guest Lists Without Micro-Managing Teams
When you’re organizing an event, everybody wants a piece of you. From the vendors you’re working with to the partners who want their contacts on the guest list, event planners are the sun around which everything rotates. To make event marketing just that bit easier to manage, Guestsnow has a sanity-saving feature: “Promoter Access.”
Promoter Access can be found under your guest list and allows you to grant limited guest list access to other partners like promoters, agents, managers and so on. When setting this up, you can control how many guests each team can add and how many +1s (or +2s, or +3s) can be included. This way, trusted collaborators can directly add names to your event’s guest lists to spare you the nagging, to manage last minute add-ons during events and to deal with general micro-managing of guest list registration.
Guestsnow has seen great success with this feature and it works very well for clubs, venues and festivals with high profile music events like Factory 93’s Deadmau5 and Guy Gerber’s Rumors. Try it out in your Guestsnow app account or if you’re new to our event management and integration platform, take Guestsnow for a whirl for the one flat fee of free.

A Le$$on in Customization: Levi's Block Party
Levi’s invented the blue jean in 1873. Almost 150 years later, they’re still the coolest legwear for men and women and the brand remains a fashion staple around the world. When they came to Guestsnow looking for help to manage their last event, we were excited to provide the customization features they needed to continue to stand out from the competition.
To do this, Guestsnow implemented a custom design for Levi’s event RSVP landing page. We included a range of relevant questions like “What is your jacket size;” “What company do you work for” and “What is your title;” and of course, the standard “Are you attending the event” and “Who invited you.” This not only fulfilled Levi’s branding and customization requirements, it also allowed them to capture the exact data they needed for remarketing, production, and customer service needs.
Furthermore, by using Guestsnow instead of hiring a contractor to build a new webpage and manage it, Levi’s saved a lot of time and money they can now repurpose in other ways. All of Guestsnow’s packages include our full suite of features and allow you to select the right one for your needs, whether it’s paying one flat fee for a single event or a monthly subscription if you’re an event-planning machine.
Try it now for free or log into your existing Guestsnow account to play with our customization features. These are guaranteed to help improve your branding, guest experience and data surrounding all your events.
Why You Should Never Make Your Guests Wait in Line
Obvious, but not so obvious, right?
Lines may be a drag, but somewhere along the way, we’ve come to accept them as a fact of life. If we’re going to popular spot -- whether it’s a VIP event, concert, fashion show or immigration -- we come mentally prepared for the high likelihood that we will have to queue. While that’s all very nice for the human race (we don’t want anyone rioting in lines!), wouldn’t it be so much better if lines weren’t a thing in the first place?
At Guestsnow, we certainly think so, and we’re working hard to make lines a thing of the past. So ditch the clipboard and read up on why making your guests wait in line is strictly speaking, a big no-no.
1. It’s bad business.
Holding up a line isn’t just bad practice, it’s bad business. Especially when there’s really no reason to do it: it does not make your event appear more exclusive; it does not present an additional opportunity to market to your audience; and it certainly does not warm people up in the best way possible before your event kicks off.
2. It’s bad vibes.
No matter how motivated or patient, guests who spend the first part of their experience waiting in line are dimmed, at the very least. They’re grumpy and belligerent at the worst. Save yourself some unnecessary conflict and crowd-control and use Guestsnow to make lines a thing of the past.
3. It’s bad press.
If your event is as bangin’ as you want it to be, you’ve probably invited press or it has decided to come to you. Not to mention these days, every guest can write a review or spark a viral post. Make sure these popular voices only have cause to rave about you.
4. It’s bad branding.
When your marketing team comes up with a hashtag or marketing strategy, it’s around the main event, not the queuing. There’s only so much you can engage your guests when they’re waiting, and the longer they wait, the less time they spend interacting with your brand and posting valuable content on social media.
5. It’s bad value.
You’re paying for the venue, the open bar, the photo booth. Why waste that investment with guests lining up on the street?
Jump into the 21st century with Guestsnow. Our event management platform allows you to replace your clipboard with your tablet, phone, computer to save yourself and your guests valuable time and opportunity. Let’s cut out the lines, shall we?
