I found some old drawings of my Hylics OC which is part of a species called the Maskrah. (Also mine.) They were Gibby's homegrown party members on the Moon. The Maskrah were very loyal to him. Well, something happened on the Moon and the Maskrah were lost. Apparently, only half of the blue mask, named Guguul, remains. This Maskrah was recovered by Wayne on the shores of the Afterlife.

The TV at the base of the Maskrah tree teaches the gesture, Imposture. The second drawing depicts Imposture in action. Wayne sacrifices a portion of his flesh to create a decoy that draws enemy attacks. I think it would be cool to see Wayne rip his face off and hand it over to Guguul.

Looking back, I'm surprised I wrote so much about this character! I forgot about this unfinished art. Now where's the playlist?

I know the Maskrah tree is at least partially inspired by these scary creatures I saw on a SIGGRAPH tape when I was a small child. I have yet to see the full animation again.

Doodle of my Hylics OC with a Wayne who is the personal guard of Lord Gibby. That idea is by @toxarts 🙇 I am borrowing him because my OC is from the Moon and uh... MOON’S GONE.

The talking head is Guguul. It’s pronounced like Kukul in Kukulkán but with hard g’s instead of k’s. Ghoulish Guguul. NOT google

Aw, man... I really don’t want to get into this for a doodle. Guguul is a maskrah, the “fruit” of the Maskrah tree. It’s a bizarre species that’s found in Gibby’s royal garden at the Moon Palace. There’s a TV screen on the tree that teaches the Gesture Imposture. Well, now I have to explain what that does... but I shan’t!

🎭 Guguul, my shape-shifting Hylics OC, can transform into everyone from Wayne’s party provided they sacrifice a portion their flesh. I even had names for all the forms: Gu-nosa, Dedus’uul, and Gu-gorma. Gibby’s form is called The King’s Double.

👹 Kalahbos, another Hylics OC, uses ice gestures.

🕸️ Twi!Salami (my fav OC/evolution of Salami currently) can speak and write in the Old Hylian from his era. I just assume the two languages in OoT and TP are different, as they have different scripts. Right?!

Do you think Skulltulas are natural or are they evil monsters aligned with Ganon? Did the Great Deku Tree always have Skulltulas spinning webs in his body? What about the coughing Deku Babas or the Deku scrubs who were loyal to Queen(ie) Gohma? Was he really ok with this?

Anyway, one of my theories for Salami’s return was that Ganondorf’s power brought him back. Not really on purpose, he just got cycled in with the common enemies of the Zelda series since he’s a... Skulltula. Assigned evil by the cosmos... the curse is strong on this one!

Well, I haven’t decided yet. He won’t be doing Ganon’s bidding, probably.
