#was trying to figure out how to get across FUCHI AND SAGI ARE SIMILAR and WHY and WHY IS THAT SIGNIFICANT and came up with “empathy twins”#but really i'm just saying they're similar and how much I like to think about their relationships#all the asaemon gain a newfound empathy and love for the criminals because of their relationships with said criminals#but fuchi and sagi are the only ones we see go as far as: feeling that same empathy towards the tensen#(sagi apologizes to gui fa & fuchi embraces tao fa as she dies)#(something something he's hindering her so she can't get back up but also listen it was drawn to look like an embrace on purpose)#(fuchi sparing the doshi after finding out about senta's death is also significant... shion turning to rage with tenza's death#compared to fuchi and sagi doubling down on “I don't want to see ANY MORE DEATH”)#not that shion/senta DIDNT feel like they wanted everyone to get back alive#but fuchi and sagi are the two who DECLARE FORMALLY that they won't leave anyone behind multiple times#even going so far as to defend the criminals against isuzu and shugen - trying to make them UNDERSTAND#they also maintain similar feelings of duty - senta and shion want to separate from the asaemon after interacting with yuzuriha and nurugai#fuchi and sagi still feel loyal to the clan and their mission#and reconcile their loyalty with their determination to save everyone including the criminals shugen/isuzu came to kill#tempted to go back and get as many caps of them as I can but I won't I won't#love that they are literally besties... fuchi sagi and senta tea buddies
