Trust the One who knows better...

“The Desert of Preparation”

On their way out from Egypt to the Promised Land, God led the Israelites into the desert. Many times they doubted God’s intention – they thought of that desert as a place of hunger, thirst, pain and even death, but the only intention God had for them is to strengthen and prepare them for a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey.

Exodus 13:17-18 (NIV)

“When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. For God said, "If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt." So God led the people around by the desert road toward the Red Sea. The Israelites went up out of Egypt armed for battle.”

Note: They're outwardly ready for something that God doesn’t want them to experience...
