Kaveh still couldn't believe he was sitting in the lair of a dragon god, in place of the princess who should have been here, but his noble family decided to switch them. He hoped this god wouldn't be too angry and would accept him despite not being the true princess; he was, in fact, the prince of this nation.
The blonde sat there staring at the massive form of the verdant dragon, and while most people would be afraid, Kaveh was not; he was fascinated. He thought dragons ate princesses and not begging for their favor? What was happening?
"Uhh, I'm going to be honest with you since you haven't killed me yet, but you were tricked. I'm not the princess of the kingdom but the useless prince," he held up his wrists. "Can you help untie me?" There were tight ropes around his wrists, which hurt.
"I'll draw you if you do."

The dragon loomed quietly—almost silently given his massive form. He was familiar with this offering of flesh. Princesses in exchange for some illusion of protection when his protection was already guaranteed and he had no interest in their foolish assumptions. He often would propose a partnership between that and the offered human kin—a favour for a favour. The gender mattered not, but he must admit that he was pleasantly surprised by the offering this time around.
The way the blond man sat there with curiosity and near wonder when faced with unparalleled strength and perceived death brought Alhaitham a feeling of connection with this so-called ❛useless prince.❜ He seemed much more useful than those he was given before and while not used for the reasons that most humans thought—
Alhaitham lifted his head up curiously at the mention of such a commodity as art. Humans found so much more interest in material things that he didn’t believe that any would offer him such a service nor did he thought he would care about such vain treasures.
❝You are an artist?❞ The Dendro dragon asked, opening his mouth to speak such words. He genuinely was surprised by that reveal and he did intend on taking him up on the offer.
❝Then that shall be your favour to me, treasure.❞ For that was what these offerings were—treasures for him to hoard as he wished. He stood up onto his claws, reaching over with his mouth wide as if he intended to swallow Kaveh whole before he hooked his fang beneath the rope. Alhaitham ground it between his teeth to free him before returning back to his hoard.
❝What is it that you wish for me to do for you in turn?❞ The dragon asked with a low voice—as if slumbering for hundreds of years which was not far from the truth.
