Hey fellow Americans, now is a great time to call the offices of you federal house and senate representatives and tell their offices just what you think about them doing nothing to stop Trump and Musk from destroying democracy.
It’s super easy! Just follow these steps!
1. Go to https://www.usa.gov/elected-officials
2. Type in your address
3. Get the office numbers and email addresses of your house and senate rep.
If you feel comfortable calling, follow the directions to speak with a representative or you may get one right off the bat. Don’t just use the answering machine to leave a message, they might delete that.
4. Be polite but stern in describing your opinion. Don’t yell at the rep, they’re just the messenger.
5. Demand that your congressperson address publicly why they are doing nothing.
6. Make it sting if you like. I requested my rep to let my congress members know they were cowards and to please piss in their coffee.
7. Repeat calling daily or weekly as you like. Or emailing for those of you uncomfortable with making phone contact.
As a cautionary note, the traditional way for a congressman to retaliate to rude callers is to make sure they are audited by the IRS. Just make sure your taxes are in order; from personal experience, auditing is boring and straightforward for most individuals.
Remember, the first rule of insulting congressional cowardice is to have fun and be yourself!
