Yesterday we had a deep dive discussion in my weekly live-stream in my FB group Animal Training Fundamentals with Barbara Heidenreich. Our topic was how do we decide what behaviors we train animals to do? This video of my guinea pigs playing basketball went crazy viral on the internet. But it also had a purpose that aligned with my mission, message and values. My intent was to inspire those who keep these animals in their homes to discover how intelligent guinea pigs are, and hopefully connect with them more. This behavior which is more on the entertaining side yet still enriching for the guinea pigs might be the vehicle to drive pet owners to do more for, and with their guinea pigs. Our live-stream took it this much further as we discussed different behaviors across species, cultural differences, how people engage with animals and the message that may send and much more. We have invited specialists in ethology, zoology, and equine training in addition to our presenters. More info coming soon! The Mastermind session is a feature of the Live Event. We are only (gulp!) 25 days away! Be sure to reserve your spot. Look at all those people who say they want to go…over 900!
