As I’m getting more comfortable with my body, and exploring my more feminine side, I find it hard to have a place to share my experiences with others. This triple selective coat Gum Bichromate piece is a representation of that. As it shows an image of myself in the first skirt I ever bought, with a nice top and sweater on. While the image being faint represents the lack of confidence I feel through my transitioning journey, and my lack of safety in being able to share more about myself to the people I trust or see as good friends.

This three year journey has been a rough one, but I’m finally finding my place as a woman in this world, and I appreciate the close friends that I have whom have supported me in this journey of self discovery.

I’m really proud of this piece as it is such a great self portrait, and represents so much of myself through an artistic medium.

I’m really excited to announce that my selective coating Gum Bichromate piece is now being displayed in the Carthage College art show. While my piece wasn’t mentioned for any awards or special placement, it’s still a big step for someone who isn’t even doing an art based major.

I’m excited to see where the rest of my art work can take me, especially as I’m starting to work on getting more pieces into galleries or other art shows.

An interesting piece I’m working on. It’s another Gum Bichromate print, so far using purple, baby blue, and a deep green as the color layers. I plan to add an orange on top to expand the color variety of the piece.

I think it’s working out pretty well with the colors so far. I’ll update it once I add and expose the orange layer.
