side note but i imagine thats what i look like walking around with my dogs and a whistle perpetually hanging from my mouth
also me when i realise i've worked them too hard and they need a break and i feel bad we did too much in pursuit of our goals so its time to stop and try again later

boy did good at his first gundog class! just worked very briefly on getting him used to the place board and then unfortunately he got a bit spooked by a gunshot going off on a farm nearby but the trainer Georgia was super understanding and we just spent the rest of the session having a nice play with a rabbit fur dummy to make sure he had a positive experience which i do think he did! he and Georgia got on really well too which i love to see and i felt like she really took the time to make sure he felt comfortable and safe
boy had his 2nd gundog class today and he did amazing!! did some more placeboard stuff, started practicing the retrieve pattern & introduced the whistle for recall so a lot more demanding than last time. he was a bit unsure about the whistle, i think combination of a new sound plus not being totally sure what was being asked of him (he's a sensitive boy 🥹) but we managed to end things on a positive i think! lots of homework to get stuck into before our next session anyways

I threw the dokken for thyme. Thorn, who has never seen it before, immediately had to get it in his mouth.
Thyme was a little upset - not used to sharing the dokken.
So. More dokkens (and an RTT) ordered. I wonder if Thorn could get this while swimming?

Thyme needs to learn to watch the ball instead of running to where he THINKS it went 😂 sometimes brains backfire and he over thinks it.
