A Gintama chapter a day keeps the ending away... Lessons 356 & 357
I was out making merry on Christmas Eve so for the first time this year, I didn’t get to read a chapter of Gintama. Much apologies to Sorachi-sama; I promise that won’t happen again this year.
MY 10 FAVORITE THINGS IN LESSON 356:
I loved that there guns are coming out of their mouths. It’s a gag that always makes me chuckle.
Mutsu is so awesome!
The Gunsams...lmao.
Lord Beida, Gunsams, Eren...Sorachi-sama basically made several of my favorite worlds collide together. Bless him. Also, when it was first revealed that Eli’s name is Eren, I actually got super excited because I was hoping the man under the garb would be as cute as Eren Yaeger...albeit an Eren with hairy AF legs.
I laughed so damn hard and long.
Awwww...my heart!
Double awwww!!!
I aww a lot every time I read this chapter but can you blame me when there are moments like this?
These guys...yeah, I got a bit teary-eyed too.
When these two goofballs make me proud, they make me really really proud.
SHIPS TALLY:
Zura x Elizabeth Eren: so much love between these two, they’re pretty much canon as far as I’m concerned.
MY 10 FAVORITE MOMENTS IN LESSON 357:
Sakamoto’s idea of raising hell.
He’s seriously such a gigantic goofball...
...but at least his heart is in the right place so I can never dislike Sakamoto. He does annoy me from time to time, but I eventually get over it.
I’m pretty sure I got teary-eyed first time I saw this and guessed who had written it.
I wanted to hug Eli-Eren.
Eli-Eren is such a good commander...knowing that it was probably due to Zura’s influence made me get all emotional all over again.
I cried. I mean, I didn’t think Elizabeth would really die, but I still cried anyway and I always get just a little weepy every time I get to this part again.
It was a distressing yet cool scene.
I know I jumped up and cheered as soon as Zura appeared...and then immediately got all weepy again as he proceeded to say...
SHIPS TALLY:
Zura x Elizabeth:...these beautiful words. Yep, gets me every time. Crying even now. Such a beautiful moment. These two forever.
Disclaimer: Gintama is not only about shipping. Gintama is hilarious, clever, exciting, poignant, heart-breaking, loving, brilliant, and just so freaking amazing. It is only due to Sorachi-sama’s generosity that I can enjoy Gintama on yet another level, the shippy level, and I am forever grateful for that. GINTAMA IS LIFE AND LOVE.
