Ballista was never one to take things too seriously, let alone reflect on his life. Yeah, she has a job and she's more than willing to do it. It gives him a purpose. But to her, life is all about having fun while you still can.

And recently, he has his eyes set on the newest member of the Mercs. A mercenary that leaves her thinking a lot more than she usually does.

Or: five times Ballista gets to know Primal and gets a lot more than he bargained for - not that he's complaining at all.

Ballista appears in the OuterNet and meets Agent and Hazard in the worst way possible. In the present day, Ballista decides to get to know Primal in the best way he knows how: annoying the shit out of someone. A decision that comes to a head when they have their first training session against each other.

After 84 years, Chapter 2 of my GunSpear (Primal X Ballista) fic is up on AO3! It went through a few changes and additions due to more content coming out over the last two years since I posted the first chapter (oh God), but I tried to have it fit with what I had already established when I first published this fic. And I’m pretty satisfied with how it turned out so I hope you guys like it.
